Spectating in 3PV is almost as bad as playing in 3PV
And making it so players who are dead cant use ingame chat will be of little use.
Players can use any number of 3rd party communications software to relay information to the pilot making it almost as if the players had 3PV himself.
No 3rd Person View whatsoever during matches, period.

Not sure PGI qualify as 'nooblets' it being their game and all. They've been unequivocal on this, hence it's a non-issue.

Just like people who don't understand what a sim is.... They never learn even in the face of facts.

Exactly this. And I think this is how they are going to implement it somepoint.

This game needs extensive replay (demo) interface.

I like the idea of a recording for your game. Would help alot for machinima, esports, etc. But the 3rd person view, no. The reason to **** out your mech with skins etc I believe is to show it off to others not to show it to yourself.
Thats like making a custom roadster and never taking it out of the garage.

Your post make you sounds like a spoiled 12 year old who just want everything you see no matter if you can have it or not.
And if its one thing I really hate its all these spoiled 12 year old kids demanding that all games cater to their wishes to the exclusion of all else, and thinking that they can have everything they point at.
And when people dont agree with their demands they start calling them noobs and whatnot just like yourself, and continue with their demands because they are so used to getting what they want if they just keep going on long enough.
Its been explained countless times how 3PV will ruin the gameplay, but explaining it to people like you are pointless because you will not listen or even try to understand why people don want it.
And why should every single game cater to the 3PV console arcade shooter crowd?
Why cannot those who want the 1PV sim style of gameplay have this one game for that?
There have even been several polls about 3PV, and the majority of the votes always say no.
With majority I'm talking about 80%+ of the votes saying no, some polls have even gone as high as 98% saying no
And as others have said, PGI has said a loud and clear no to 3PV, and no amount of begging, threatening or demanding, by a very vocal yet very small minority, is going to change their mind.
If you want 3PV you can go and play mechassault, that game has 3PV.
This is Mechwarrior, its a sim and will never have 3PV.

*deleted* All that said, this IS beta testing phase, and that's something we should all keep in mind in an effort to suggest less of what we want in to see happen in this game and more of what is actually malfunctioning based on what they have viably described as appropriately functioning. I would personally be very happy with a 3rd person replay feature, but in this point of development I feel it would take away from people actually TESTING the game. We are not here to spend time watching and nitpicking replays. *deleted* Let's keep in mind that a recorded replay also breaks NDA, and access to that at the moment would just be silly.
And yeah, I still agree that there should be no 3rd person view during matches (dead or otherwise). *deleted*
*edit* Deleted some content. Forgot this was General Forum.

We are all tired of this. I remember the days when only adults with well-earning jobs had cell phones... Now every rotten brat feels entitled to instant gratification. Why don't parents hit their kids anymore? Sad times we live in...

But I think it would be slick to get group shots before and after matches. The first shot/pic shows shiny new mechs and the next shows the aftermath. Those are the pics that Lance banners can use.
