Oh, I don't mind! They could have asked me and I'd have sent them the PSD file so they could do it properly :o

Chances are, their copy of Photoshop is illegal as well. I don't know many graphic artists who legitimately purchase Photoshop end with with editing skills as bad as they massacred your logo.

I would change my opinion. Games seem to be leaning toward 12 vs 12 perfect matches with everything boiling down to 1 objective kill you opponent BS.

If the game lives up to very detailed hype then yes Im majorly stoked and I havent been this excited about a game.. ever.

The only thing that gives me any sense of apprehension is the f2p model. Yes its been explained and discussed until the cows come home but, having played several f2p games, I fear the inherent theme park-iness and impersonal bland experience that f2p games seem to share. I have faith that PGI will blow this away and make something awesome but I also know that marketting and hype can often exceed the actual game experience.

Have you played League of Legends? It is free to play and an awesome game. I am confident that Piranha can do what Riot is already.

So far, so good, just hope it actually makes it through to release. I also think the games needs HUGE promotion, they should have put in like a half million$$$ to put this in a super bowl commercial or something! :o

Prolly shouldn't ask this in this forum, but will this be totally free? Not even have to purchase the game? I hope you have to at least purchase the game, I would think it would need some return funding in order to keep the project going. League of Legends at least has the RP points that probably quite a few buy in with cash. I never thought I would but I actually jus t put in 5$ into LoL haha

The only thing I know for sure is they are making MWO, and that, my friend, is a good thing.

I also like the idea of contested zones, and the ability to align with a house, merc company, or solo.
I have mixed feelings on Modules, however I understand that a persistant world requires character developement, so I think it necessary.

I don't like F2P, but I think in an action oriented game like MWO it is a good decision. I just don't think there would be an effective way to fill the game with 'meaningless' content (bring back 10 Jenner legs). Time to raide the Atlas lair and hope I get a purple (legendary) autocannon.

MW:O Is looking to be the best Mechwarrior yet. Especially that light & medium mechs will be more than just what the skilled players use, they'll be essential to a team's victory.

Too early to vote.

Without a single screenshot, gameplay vid or even trailer (the only "trailer being the CG-thingy from '08 that was created for another project, but still hailed on YT as a trailer for "the next Mechwarrior-game")... this game might just as well be vaporware.

All we have are nice words from the devs, grand visions and outlines of role warfare etc.a

We've heard lots of "insinuations" that the playtesting is great fun (for the devs), but in the words of Generation I: "Pictures or it didn't happen."

Don't get me wrong, the *little* we know seems alright, but I've been eagerly awaiting games before, only to be disappointed:
First-person shooters that end up as turn-based strategy.. for consoles, or games delayed for a decade... or games that launch with so many bugs that people do DDOS-attacks on the forum servers... or games that suddenly get a online DRM-system that causes online riots...

...so I'll just keep my cool and hope my worst fears are wrong.

Also, I'm not completely on board with the F2P-system. I'd rather pay for a game once, and get a complete experience without having to give up my credit card number for "micro-transactions" that you are bound to lose control over. (like: Oooh! I just NEED that ERPPC... It's only $2 to get it right now! Yipppiee!... Two days later: Oooh! i just need that pony-skin... it's only $5!!... and so on and so on). I like packaged games with moddingtools and the occasional DLC (free or paid, depending on content).

Also, I know I'll miss single-player... I always do.

But, before someone flames me for being a buzzkill, I really hope MWO will be everything we hope for. A new 'mech game is worth a celebration, almost regardless. I just think this poll is premature.

Where it's going is straight to the top of the list of Mechwarrior Games Released In The Last Friggin Decade.

That's not a very stiff competition...

At 3.5 million dollars for a 30 second commercial spot, that would have been a VERY short Promo. 30/7= 4.28sec lol

I'm really excited to see where this goes. My only worry is that they will screw up the free-to-play experience. :/ Just have to wait and see, though. LOVED MW2 back in the day. :D And mechcommander.

I know the feeling but if PGI sticks to a bussiness plan similar to this it would be very beneficial to them IMO.

Since its going to be free to play, it means you can pay to win. Not really interested in a F2P model at all. I would rather pay 50$ and buy the game then play it for free. Every free to play game I have ever played.. Has been awful. So does this excite me? No. Will I play it? I'll try it. My only hope is that it does not make a mockery out of the great mechwarrior games of the past. And I hope it is more fun then Mekteks MW4. Because honestly that's the bar as of right now. Actually Living Legends is pretty BA too.

I'll also say I *really* liked the 3015 starting point shown in the trailer video... Now I hear the game is starting at a much later point? *I has lots of readings to do*

I would also like to add the Original 3015 starting point was a much nicer time period imho. Starting in 3050. I mean come on seriously *every* mechwarrior game starts at 3050~3060's nowadays. Not very Original for an official reboot imho

I mean the Original Mechwarrior you played as Gideon Braver Vandenburg. ( still have the game and directions manuel.. omg.. I'm so old started at 3025... 8 mechs.. <3'd shadow hawk and Warhammer and Marauder) I even remember buying mechs low in Herspeus II and selling them for a huge profit a few planets away. (although the name of said planet escapes me)

I'd rather pay 50 for a more indepth product myself, but this will have to due for now no matter what my hopes are for the game, I'll play it, I'm a Mech fan and choice's are gettin limited :D

My hope is the game online goes REALLY well and they start working on single player missions you can download for a price, and if you complete them you get XP on you MWO account..

So basically the MMO world will be paying for development they couldnt afford before.
