I guess for me, the old stuff is awesome, the Reseen look good (except the Marauder) and I'd be happy to use either in a battle.

Mr. Iglesias already made a Reseen marauder. It looks rather dandy IMO.

Of course, while I absolutely loathe the regular unseen Marauder (it looks... just too impossible to stomach, all legs)... FlyingDebris' magic has made it absolutely drool-worthy as well.

I'd be fine - more than fine, delighted even - with either. Or none. As long as this game lives.

Actually I like the one in this sketch ya showed. It still has more of the bird-leg design I like, and the swung-forward torso. The typical Reseen pic makes it look like they strapped a humanoid mech's upper torso onto a set of legs that are just on backwards.(Looking at the Proj Phoenix image of it right now) And the AC just popping out of the torso... ugh. I loved the top mounted gun, even if they shifted it slightly to one side so it was 'in' a torso. But having it just jutting out beside the head is ugly to me. If they tossed that gun back above the torso, I might see some redemption in the Reseen Marauder.

I especially like this sketch because the head isn't just a bunch of glass panels on the nose. That looks too breakable. Encased in armour with small vidcams works better for me. XD

I actually like the new Reseen mechs, although the Original Warhammer is still far better.

The new Reseen Marauder is far far more impressive tham the original unseen one.

Please let them die!

I'm so sick of this poll, (there must have been at least 10 or 20 of these so far.)

Just let them die.

Many members here don't know what are the Unseen and the Reseen. Let's clear it out.

Unseen: are mech designs (drawings) from the very beginning of the Battletech, taken from anime (like Macross/Robotech) mechas. They were removed from the Battletech after several legal problems.

Reseen: are new drawings for those mechs, for using of Battletech. They don't have any legal issue but depart a little from the original designs.

Examples:

Unseen Marauder:

Reseen Marauder:

Unseen Warhammer:

Unseen Rifleman:

Old Battletech players love the Unseen. They played a lot with them, they have their miniatures... so it's natural they want the Unseen in MWO.

The problem is: PGI/IGP should not use the Unseen because of the concrete risk of a law suit that would jeopardize the entire MWO project (the using of the Unseen Warhammer was one of the reasons for MW5 being canceled).

So, what do you want? Are you OK with PGI to add the Reseen designs? Or you will accept nothing but the old & gold Unseen?

I went with prefer Unseen over Reseen, but I'll take what I can get. Truth be told there are couple of Reseen designs I prefer and a couple where both are really nice. Also there are a couple of designs that are plane ugly, like the Unseed Ost-anything or the Reseen Phoenix Hawk.

My top picks are Battlemaster and Marauder either/or I'll be really happy.

We all know that the UNSEEN will never be in MWO. The RESEEN will not be seen in MWO for years, If at all. But, we can always dream.

Depends... If the unseen can be brought into the game in a form that doesn't summon armies of lawyers, I'd be happy.

Otherwise, I'd prefer getting the reseen over doing the legality limbo.
Also, I wouldn't want to see money diverted towards a certain company *cough* *cough* HG *cough*.

As far as I'm concerned, The legal issues, ( Harmony Gold can go evaporate ) will preclude us from "seeing" the unseen. With that said, I go on record as willing to accept the unseen being available to us. Especially the Rifleman, as it has always been my favorite mech.

i very much prefer the originals but would take the redesigns for the sake of having them ingame.

I know a lot of folks don't see the big draw or think more of anime when they see them, etc, etc but when the game came out back in the 80's the unseen mechs were the ones my friends and I fought over and everything else was second rate.

Say what you will about old grognards and such. I freely admit I'm an Unseen Fanboi and really I could care less about beating the dead horse on this subject.

While I think that the more mechs the merrier.. I'm not too concerned if we never see them because of some legal stuff preventing them from being added to the game.

Just in case: here you can see compilation of all Unseen/Reseen pictures. OP, maybe you should just copypaste the link to show them all:
