I think I share the same sentiments as everyone else, as the Mech genre has been long overdue a great current-gen game. CryEngine 3, DX11 support, clans, PC-only, the list goes on and on. Mechwarrior Online will be nothing short of amazing, I think we all know that. I'm sure just like everyone else, I've been checking my email throughout the day, now I'm going to bed just hoping that I wake up tomorrow with a beta invite in my inbox.

Hi everyone! I loved the old MechWarrior games,and it makes me so happy, to see an MMO being made!

New guy here, never played a mech game since... Heavy Gear? Guess that hardly counts... Anyway, I'm a semi-seasoned Beta Tester and wanted to see how the new revitalization of Mech games is coming. I really do miss these beautiful machines of war walking around causing havok, closest thing I found over the years was anime and that just aint the same I'm not too experienced with mech-styled games, where you have a hanger and you choose your loadout/armaments like this, at least since I was younger and had Zoids for gamecube... Anyway, looking farward to testing this, gameplay looks very similar to World of Tanks.

But just a few questions, like...
1) How do I download the cliant? Do I have to be chosen and E-mailed the cliant?
2) Does this game require a joystick? Or is it just insanely suggested I find my old dusty one that very likely wont work?
3) Are matches more based on skill or are they very heavily influenced by which team has the best loadout/composition?
4) Will there be "pay to win" items or is everything purchaseable via in-game currency?
5) Is match making very friendly to new players?

I might have more questions lurking in the atic that is my brain, but questions 1 and 2 are the ones I'd really like to know. And I really hope this is where I should post my first introdection post >.> And btw, if anyone is wondering how I got Wolf, it W-o-capital i-f. MMOs teach me a thing...

I have played MechWarrior PC games since it first came out. I really want to learn more about the history of the houses, and other history. I don't really know where to start because of the large amount of books and information. I am interested in getting into the RPG thread also but realize i don't know enough about the lore. If anybody could please let me know where to start and learn more. Thanks!

Hey all. Havent played MechWarrior since MW2! I just bought MW4 and the expansions and a Joystick so I can catch up before MWO is released. Hope I get into the Beta. Either way I am stoked. Any current MW4 players out there?
