Hi,
I just found out about this game. I almost passed out from shock, disbelief, happiness and anticipation. I cannot focus on work now. Thanx, I will start my reading here. OMG! Mechwarrior Online! I was playing MW series from early begining (MW1, from MW2 dedicated player) and.. I am just, cannot find words now... ;)

(I am only sad because I cannot afford to buy Founder pack right now, having really harsh times nowadays, but... wait it is F2P :D

Hello and Greetings to everyone ...

I thought i would introduce myself here and look forward to meeting/battling with and against you all on the battlefield upon launch. I decided to go and purchase the founders legendary package few hours ago so very excited.. Played some of the early amiga battletech games (not sure if battletech) i remember it was
top down view on sort of a White Honeycomb type map backdrop. It was pretty muched turn based with each turn showing the sillouette of the mech you currently were piloting walking across to the other enemy mech on other location of map and then engaging. Sort of like a battlechess basis. Anybody knows what this one was called be neat to know. 86 or 87 year i think it was released.
I was even more hooked afterwards with the Microsoft Mechwarrior games and soon found myself neglecting outdoor life after purchasing those lol. Now i feel this is going to happen again with
MWO here lmao. Atlas fan/pilot here but plan to learn the other mechs as well. Hope to learn few tricks
and tips from other freinds/players at our "Meeting" on the battlefield lol.

My Faction "House Of Liao" means everything to me..I would sell my soul for it in a heartbeat!!!
All other factions are underneath and meaningless to me. If only you knew the power and respect
you could have at your disposal of this faction you would instantly join us. But Sadly if not, you will
learn the hard way. j/k lol

I pulled the trigger on Founder's Program: Elite. Here's to hoping MWO lives up to its potential! :)

Not sure if I am in the right place or not, but since this is for new players I figured I'll give it a shot.
Please bear in mind that I am not well versed in the world of online games, so please don't kill me for asking apparently stupid questions.
Does anyone know if there will be an option to change your pilotname, or assign a callsign?
Reading through some threads I encounter lots of different kind of names, so I'm a bit curious if the pilot name was meant as its name implies (the name of your pilot) or perhaps your military callsign, like Mailman Wizard or whatever crazy names we triggerhappy lot will get. :)
My apologies for bothering you with my lack of knowledge.

Thanks. I'm new to this game but not to the genre. I was big into virtual world version back in the day (yup I'm old). This is very helpful for someone looking to get reintroduced.
