And then again the Victor really bothers me for some reason . . .

IS:
Ares: No, not the Mektek mech, I'm talking about that threelegged abomination created by Wizkids.
Any Frankenmech
Clan:
Gargoyle Prime: The prime configuration is horrible, this mech would have been far more populair if this config A was the primary.
Viper: Don't get me wrong, this mech has some pretty fun configurations. The "head" bothers me, it looks like Donald Duck wearing a iron mask.

As far as I know, there isn't any mechs that have "useless" hands. The Commando has hands, and it jumps on the back of enemy mechs and pulls them apart, or atleast punches them.
The Atlas probably can't punch with it's hands, but it adds to the fear effect.

Hands don't add weight, they just occupy a crit slot in the arm.

Agree with this.
I also had a special hatred for the Hellhound in MW4. (This may have been related to trying to run missions in a Catapult and encountering nothing but Hellhounds with reflective armor...)

Sorry about your penchant for the Ost*... Clearly you are a kind and accepting soul and I applaud you for accepting the Ost* in all it's forms without judgment. I and others however see it as nothing more than a "Weeble" on stilts and would take great pleasure in finding new and unique way to disembowel the abominations...
That said... I am in 110% agreement with you in regards to the Stalker. By design it's a bio-mechanical improbability... Let's see... Lets make it soooo front heavy as to need to position the hips at the complete opposite horizontal axis, THEN... to offset that we'll shift it's weight back on it's heels and then throw a reverse-jointed leg under it to recenter the center-of-gravity. By design, this is the equivalent of taking three left turns to make a right turn....
This is what happens when people design Mechs while geeked on Red Bull and pixi-sticks!

I remember reading in a few places that many mechwarriors prefer mechs with hands for their utility and because it makes it easier for a mech to get back on its feet after a fall.
I personally dislike the Marauder and the Behemoth.

Most of the others listed above are so conditional... Ostscout is a GREAT mech if you are playing double-blind rules, because it is hard to hit when moving at full speed. The listed Firestarter variant is GARBAGE... until you are playing against infantry, especially in an urban environment. Right tool for the job, I s'pose.
Looks-wise, I always thought the Imp was pretty ridiculous. The Naginata is also comical, as its front shot profile is as big as a city block. It looks like it was made out of Duplo blocks in a LEGO world.

Everytime I see that photo, I laugh and imagine an Atlas single "handedly" running up to each Mech on the field. Holding him by the arm so it can't get away and then punching it with hooks, uppercuts and elbow smashes.
...and it just makes me laugh more.
