Even thou it gets a lot of "crap" i also liked Mechassault. This game looks like a jump in and jump out, mabe games like LOL but shorter ?

I'll take Hawken and ROT for my fast-pased mech combat, and MechWarrior Online for my more serious mech sims.

Its good to have all these new robot games. We have MWO for the more serious "mature" sim gameplay and then we have RoT/Hawken for a straightforward/simplified mech combat.

I'm actually looking forward to it. Dammit, I'm actually looking forward to anything that has robots shooting at each other!

Yeah i'm gonna be getting an ipad for Mechtactics(i hope that's how you spell it lol) this December hopefully if it's released by then. Mech Commander 2 was awesome for an RTS.

Game looks great! I am praying for a beta key! This is not the MA 3 announcement many were looking for, the game looks hot, and a fella who has alpha'ed the game says its off the hook! Cannot wait for more info..

Looks like a console shooter played from third person perspective that degenerates into a fast paced cluster@#* with area of effect weapons.

Also, there was like no thunder. Tons of lightning. Very little thunder.

When i saw the first few seconds of that trailer which actually did show something i thought it seems ok, but as it continued with the "fast paced" action etc i had to change my opinion. No that's not a game i wish to play, ever.

That game looks suited for people with twitch skills. aka COD people.

Not something I would like since the game doesn't seem to have any tactics/strategy to it. Also face pace with mechs usually doesn't go well.

Too cartoonish. Too early to judge, but RoT does not look like what I am personally looking for in a Mech combat game.
