I really believe that the strongest word-of-mouth comes from those people that can be really trusted which in time hopefully this game will prevail and not out to be a money making advertisement over the top broadcasting scheme. It looks like everybody's heart and soul is pointed in the right direction on designing this game and for that it probably does take a lot of time and effort to put into creating something that is outstanding overall performs well. I'm always leery of putting things out that could come back and b i t e m e in the as%.... I think that the word will be getting out on the net pretty soon its just making sure that the roadmap to the development of this is actually pinpointed to the consumers that are looking for a very good all around robotic game.

there is a forum page for that, Here for Merc Corps, and im not sure but you can join a house by posting in the appropriate forum in This Location just post that your looking for a guild and the groups looking will respond to you. thats how i joined the Templars </end shameless plug>

I would love to pay for the founders package, but your payment options suck.. the credit card option doesnt work and I will not register for ****** paypal ever again... Cant you use the direct payment without having to register for account?

So all I'm left with is error messages.

Update: Well, took a **** out of the bullet on this one, bought the founder stuff with paypal, and immedialitely shut down the account (paypal that is) afterwards. I figure even that tiny bit of bandwith usage was worth it.

Just noticed this, but please distinguish us Founders from the people that purchase during the Open Beta. I payed out cash on pure faith, and I would like to make sure that there is a distinction between those that had payed on faith, vs those that had a chance to play the game in open beta before making that leap.

Give em the same benefits by all mean, but please make a distinction.

If only I had the money to get a Founder Pack. No, don't even have 30$ to spare... *sigh* anyway, great news for many undecided or people waiting for a paycheck. Also more time to convince friends and coworkers.

Extension? Come on... Lets face it, its just money grinding.
Founders were initially reward for those who bet their money on a few screenshots (videos).

And when players could try MWO, when is more information about MWO out, when the gameplay footage is out... of course they want to play it too... of course, they want founders mechs too, they want beta access...
Its natural that the devs want to make a profit... but I buy founders because I believed in you (devs), believed in this game... and I still believe.

I just feel kinda cheated - the founders should be mark of real founders, those who showed some faith... not those who buy founders just because they KNOW this game is good.

Founders should ended on 7th September... there is no excuse.

I have no problem with continuing sale... no problem with selling premium mechs, in game money and so on... but this sale is not about founders anymore. Those players should NOT get Founders tag, because they are not founders.

I really hope that the sale of founders will end very soon, before the Founders tags lost the rest of the price and exceptionality... or you can sell it forever (because of MWO nature the game is never done right?) - in this case please give us an option to hide the founders tag because it will be worthless.

I'm not hurt, just a little bit cheated... (and because it looks like I'm alone... feel free to ignore me).

btw: I'm not going to stop playing this game... I'm still very excited and I'm still supporting you and the MWO.

you're kind of right about that. it's the symbolic reward for those of you who have invested money without really knowing what it will become.

but i really appreciate the extension of the founders packages, i would like to buy one, but currently have no money on the side for that (poor student).
and we all know, the more founders packs are sold, the better for the developers and thus the game.

Well I am trying to purchase the founders package now.... But it is not accepting any of my credit cards and Pay Pal wont go through. I think the system is down or bugged. I have plenty of funds to purchase the package.

I agree that we the first founders should get something more special of a tag compared to those that are buying after the 7th i love this game but i went in blindly and bought the founders because i love battletech universe and i didnt know much of this games gameplay. So i think that the fist founders should be distinguish from the new extended founders.

We've been told that Aug 7th would be the last day to get a founders pack. Then it was extended.
Then It was extended again in Sept. I understand the money angle.
Twice we've been told that X Day is the last day you can buy. Then twice its been extended. I bought my founders back in July. Having to have made some pretty deep sacrifices for a couple weeks to be able to toss $120 at a game while working a 20-24 hour a week job and raising a family was a bit tricky. It would have been better if i could have foreseen the future and the 2 extensions and spread out the savings.

Like i said i totally get the money angle and once they finally say no more extensions they loose a lot of revenue. It just bugs me that i keep hearing X day is the last day.... Oh wait, maybe next month. Pick a day. Write it in stone and engrave it on your servers.

I don't want to hide my founders tag. I would like a Date of Purchase under it. OR "Wave One" "Wave Two".
Each wave would signify the original, 1st extension [Wave two] or wave 3 for this latest Sept push back.

In five years a Founder's tag will not be all that common. Don't hate on the guys getting in before open beta.

You will be playing in five year's time, won't you?

Having been in many betas and even a closed alpha test or two what you're asking for isn't typical. It's generally not good practice to annoy your customers and segregate your populations. What "special tags" do is make people say "I'm better than you are because I have this tag and you don't."

Open Beta is not here yet, you're still paying into an "unknown", it's not "try before you buy" right now it's still pay up front. While it may not be AS BIG of a risk as you, we, whoever took putting out 40, 60 or 120$ 2 months ago, it's still a risk...I guess, even though I'm one of them who would benefit from a "special tag", I just don't see the need.

You're a founder, you helped the game grow and develop and become what it is now...why is that not enough? Did you post bug fixes or suggestions on the forums? Did you test things and note where problems occured? Did you throw out ideas to assist in making the game better?

The longer you've "been in" the more opportunity you've had to help drive the direction of the game. That's what you get for putting your money in first...you don't NEED a special tag saying "I'm more important than you are."

I thank you for extending, not wanting original founders to be cheated but for some of us the ability to get the funds to be a founder were not readily available.
