Been playing since Battledroids, so I meet the age qualification. However, my name is Tim, so don't hold that against me. (Really, Timmies? I'm going to randomly pick a name and start berating them- Hey Bobbies, you suck!)

I might be interested, as I prefer a more mature approach and cooperation in my gaming. I even worked for Fasa Interactive back in the day (Mechwarrior 3 and the Pods). I used to own a set of pods but had to sell them when I moved to the East Coast.

I'm 55 and in, if you would like me to join with your playing. I started on my first computer with Mechwarrior 2 and mercenaries and loved the games. I currently play World of tanks so this will be a blast from the past!

I have to agree with SteelWarrior-sama. Physical age has nothing to do with how they play. In 10th SOG, we have a cut off for membership simply at 18, however as it is a family oriented squad; we also had a couple members bring their kids in. A couple of those kids where a pleasure to play with as they are better mannered than many of the adults I have played with in the past. I would take SOGAwol's kid Kyle as a lance mate any day, but I have been playing with him since he was seven or eight. (I believe he is a senior this year or just graduated, not sure which). He is well mannered, follows instruction reasonably well, horses around some (but all of us do), can be counted on to do his job to the best of his ability. Another gaming friend, Meatball's daughter Harley was much the same. I figure she is likely 17-18 by now. So I suppose the old saying applies in this case. "You can't judge a book by its cover"

That said, I would certainly prefer playing with mature players (or at least ones willing to play decently), especially those who know and understand the game behind the game.

Ref: timmies... I have heard this name applied before...it was a southpark reference in which a character named timmie is apparently in the series serving no function other than being annoying., thus some southpark fans took to calling useless annoyances timmies, though I did not think it was a widespread phenomenon

The idea that people over the age of 25 are more mature than those under is questionable at best. I'm not in much of a mood to debate it. But as I've stated before it's often a good starting point. The lives of people over 25 tend to be closer in similarity and shared experiences altogether anyways. I'd venture to say that most of the people over the age of 25 can't keep up with the gaming habits of a 12, 16 or 18 kids anyways. I'm going off of the experiences I've had with people from all ages as well. I've seen kids rally up to how a group of people he was playing with saw the teamwork of them and react accordingly. I've had friends I know get drunk and send out pictures of themselves trying to drink a beer while wearing a scuba mask over XBox Live. But because I can play at the same times he could I preferred playing with him.

The 9th Sword has an age limit of 18, but most of us are over 25, and the limit is more of a guideline than a hard limit. It just depends on the player; older players can be even more immature than teens.

I wish i could be a part of this whole thing. Even though i would say i fit the type of player you're looking for, I'm sadly only 21. I agree with the others in this post who say that maturity doesn't necessarily come with age. That being said, I understand that the probability of someone over the age of 25 being mature is more likely than someone under 25 being mature, and i think that's a good place to start with finding mature and cooperative people to play with. If you change your mind, however, you can count me in!

I can understand the frustration behind this, The limit for 2old2play.com isn't set by me. I am however bound to their rules by joining it. Your brother may not be able to join the fight at the site, but I can't stop him from being a person playing in the round either.

Nice. The very first box set I played from was a BattleDroids box as well. Gotta be around 27 years.

Anyway I'm in. Are there any organizational details yet?

Count me in. 30 yrs old. Used to play battletech with my older brother and his friends as a kid and have played pretty much all the PC games over the years.

I may as well mention my old handle in other MW games was probably GrimNite for any that may recognize.

Heck, I started playing Battle tech when it was a board game with card board cut out mechs. And by the way, I guess I can be old enough to not join you twice... I am a scout pilot by profession so I am looking to join a house to fill this role. I do not mind being out front and behind the lines. I used to pilot a Shadowcat online before and did really well. I am trying to decide which house if any I will join. This is the first time I have had a chance to look at the game. Can someone give me some info about the make up of the houses.
