if it makes ya feel better i still don't understand why my daughter wants to dress up as an anime character. though im one to talk i dress up in full plate once a week and beat the ***** out of my friends in the SCA
as a kid i loved thundercats and Disney's robin hood, a lot of people did.
some people just pursued that style of art and characters as more fun than standard art with just humans. Amusingly most people love aliens from sci-fi's and don't realize its the same thing as those who like furry/alien/anthro's. How many Klingon fans out there who dress up with ridges on their heads and swinging battleths. Or how many obese foot ball fans try to die from hypothermia painted in their teams colors.
people like what they like and express that in many ways, and others will try and shoot down anyone elses ideas if they do not match their own perfectly. sad but true
