Sure, Trireaper is putting on a dress right now in IRC.

I'm more of a "leader's right-hand man" guy myself. I can squat out a good nugget of an idea from time to time, but for most of the time, I'm better at completing tasks than looking at the big picture (not that I can't see it, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I put too much focus on the details).

Sounds a lot like myself lol. I see you're signed up in OpServ as a maybe for tonights lance practice...hope to see ya there if possible :)

Terminator: the name SSJ4Megaman sounds very familiar, I don't have our old forums currently linked up to the new ones, but feel free to drop on by and check us out. If it turns out you were thinking of someone else you're welcome to withdraw, or stay if you like it.

Metro: good to see you. I'll give you my special happy-ending discount. :D

You guys like overly warm foul?

You know, BWC really intrigues me, I've read what I can on your SOP and leaders/leadership and a strong chain of command appeals to me, but I have a question. With MWO being as diverse as it is and certainly will be post-launch in terms of mechs/loadout/modules/pilot skills will I have the freedom to buy, customize and load out my mech to suit my preferred playing style or will I be shoehorned into roles or loadouts that I may not be comfortable with or any good with in hopes that forcing me into that role long enough I'll adapt and learn, because that is what's required for the good of the team/lance/company? I guess that's a rather long winded way of asking can I equip what I want and let the SL's make the best of it, or do I have to equip what the SL wants? Hopefully a silly question like that doesn't automatically put me into the 3 meter kill zone for any SL unlucky enough to get me.

Nonsense. Why would we force you into a role that you are either: a) uncomfortable with or, :P severely inexperienced with? While we do like tactical flexibility with our troops and encourage trying new tactics and gear loudouts in training, you show us (and tell us) what you like to do and what you're good at, and we assign you to a Lance/Unit that will take advantage of what you like doing. If you like being in a scout 'Mech, we'll put you in a scouting role. If you like hammering enemies with LRMs, we'll put you in a fire support role. We're not going to push you into doing something you do not like.

I expected as much, I just wanted to be clear before committing myself anywhere. I think I'll register on your forums when I get a chance. I look forward to becoming a better player under some strong leaders, maybe eventually working my way into a leadership role. Thanks Curon Hifor

Have you been reading my work, or did you just come up with that? It's one of my favourite phrases. Curon answered the question so I'll leave it at this: we have a minimum required expectation - playing the way we want you to play isn't one of them (to a large extent, at least). If you can meet the basics, you can play however you wish.

In other news, as soon as BWC has completed the West Point Combat Classic I can relax a little bit. I'm going balls to the wall with Project: Space Marine and the logistics/command elements for the paintball game. Once that's over, I can ease back into gaming. So here's a little preview:

Hi,

Looking for a serious merc unit for around 15 players which have extensive experience in MW4 and many other team based online games. We are apart of a Clan called Muppet Factory which has been around for many years. We currently play eve online, bf3 and Ruse and are strictly AU and EU timezone. I was thinking about starting a Merc company of our own though seen your post and enjoy the large focus on teamwork BWC seem to have. Would you guys be interested in taking in 15 guys mostly 25-45 of age who also strive on teamwork and getting the job done?

For sure. You bring in 15 guys that are up to BWC standards, I'm wouldn't be surprised if Trireaper sends you a picture of his mom.

Uhhh, your mom IS hot, right, Trireaper? (there's no eyebrow emoticon)

We're mostly based on the East coast of the US, so I'm not entirely sure how much the time difference will play into things.... Firefly will be able to give you more information.

So there you have it. Just go to the website, register, and apply. For faster reference, use the link under Firefly's name, and go from there.

On an unrelated topic, awesome training session tonight. Not our highest attendance, but a lot of previous training came together. We are definitely placing members into the right roles.
