As a long time MechWarrior fan, I had such heaps of fun playing the computer games. But where's the fun in being the lonesome hero some planet was hoping for? Much more fun in sharing victories, isn't there?
Or just for some other dude to catch some AC20 rounds?
I've faced it, folks. Games are bigger and better when shared. So I just had to go out and look if I could find some likeminded folk. And it's a bonus if they bring me to new games where they've grouped together already!

The name's MikeyB, I'm not an MWO player for these guys, but I always enjoy trying to show these guys all the amounts of appreciation I can, as these guys are so incredibly helpful to my Task Force on Planetside 2. So a little more background on me, I lead Rampage, an internal Task Force that specializes in Tanks. These guys love to come out and help me out during large operations, while they're not Mechs, they sure can make stuff explode and these guys never miss a beat to help me out.

To me, Black Widow Company, is a team that I want to be apart of because of the guys we have here on this very game. They're continuously stride to be the best at what they do and improve, whether it's casually or competitively, they keep trying to fight the good fight. So come in, say hi, and come see what it looks like to play with an amazing outfit!

So why did I start looking for a team to play with... Well with MWO I fell into BWC through another game, so really, I got into MWO/BWC more or less by really good luck. The funny thing is that I'd stopped playing MWO because I wasn't in a team. I'd had a group of friends I played with that had mostly stopped playing. After they stopped playing I had a lot of time PUG and that was not really that fun. I knew I had a lot to learn about the game in general, but really wanted to learn team tactics. In a game with MWO, that's where the fun is! I was about to uninstall the game because I just wasn't having fun, and luckily held off!

Why I started looking for a team to play with

Let’s be honest – single player games are limited by the A.I. competition . Most games are reduced to working out a flaw in an attack pattern that allows you to move thought a fight with minimum effort, or worse, you get so buffed that you finish the game with no effort, (hence the lack of “lives” in modern games because who wants to see 100s of lives left?). Difficult games are not difficult because of intelligent opponents but because the victory conditions are just so hard to reach, (see Dark Souls). This flaw is well known and has been countered for many news, since Quake, with multi-player, online games. Why look for a team ? Because intelligent, unpredictable, coordinated opponents are online and that’s where the action is.

I ran into BWC during one of their ops in PS1. I had found PS1 after playing different fps for year, and was blown away by the scale and need to play as a team. BWC Legend Epicballa and our task force ranger was mopping up a room full of smurfs right in front of me. I was blown away by their ability to work so well together. I knew I needed to be in this outfit. Once I joined I was once again blown away by what BWC offered it's members.

Though all these years we've tried to bring the most unique gaming experience to out members. It's been 9 years since I joined, and I'm still amazed at the quality of the people here. Our command and staff is the best around hands down. They provide our members with the materials to succeed in all our supported games.

Lone wolfing isn't satisfying, so I began looking for a team to run with. Figuring I'd shoot for the top, I sought out BWC based on their word-of-mouth reputation. I can honestly say it's the best gaming organization I've had the pleasure of being a part of. Structure is very important to me in a clan, and BWC brings professional level organization to the table. Ever heard 300+ people on teamspeak go dead quiet in an instant? I have, and it was impressive. BWC players are here to win, and win they will. No other clan focuses so much on player improvement; I've become a much better player since joining BWC. No one should feel like they're not good enough to sign up for BWC either, all that is asked of you is a willingness to learn, listen, and participate.

Why I started looking for a team to play with

I was an avid PS2 player who kept finding myself in outfits that were falling apart. We lacked leadership, and struggled to be competitive after our server merged with Mattherson. I grew tired of bouncing from group to group, and wanted to find a community where I could find leadership, continuity and organization. BWC is all of those things and more. We train together, win together, and have fun together. I have been in BWC 3 months, and could see myself here for another 3 years and more.

Why I started looking for a team to play with:

When I started with MWO only a few month ago I quickly figured out, that running around alone would get you killed rather quickly! But since I wanted to keep playing casual (as opposed to my hardcore "pro" gamer times back in the days...) I wasnt originaly looking for a team.

After two weeks however I realy had enough of suddenly beeing alone somewere cos the rest of my team decideded that it was more interesting somewere else or the general lag of coordination and communication in PUGs. So I went to this Subforums and checked the first few threads on top.

I had heard about BWC, but it wasn't until I also heard about Star Citizen that I joined up. Since then, I have played MWO and PS2 with them and discovered an amazing group of people. Even better, I jumped in for a weekend pf live paintball and a trip to LA.

It's not usually my style to say, "Ohmigooses, come look at us!" but... well...

I have played many game, including games that had Outfits, Fleets, Clans, etc organizing to play. I remember playing Planetside 1 and hearing and seeing BWC. They were totally amazing. All the other gaming organizations that I had been with previous to BWC pale in comparison to how great BWC is. Not just for Planetside 2, but for all the games BWC plays, supported and non-supported. They are totally an amazing group, and MWO is just one of the many great games BWC plays!

Why I started looking for a team to play with.
I have always been a fan of working with an organized group of players whenever I play any sort of team based game. Often times in most MMO's this means that I have to put together and run a group myself. However, with my current time restraints I didn't want to go through the hassle of building a new group from the ground up. I also was wanting to join a community that spanned multiple games, as often times I find myself getting bored with a single game after playing it so for so long. The ability to play different games while still keeping in touch with and playing with the same group of people was very much a part of the social community experienced I desired. Luckily, I found Bravo Whiskey Charlie!

Why I started looking for a team to play with.

I started looking for a team to play with because playing solo just isn't for me. And gaming with random PUGs is annoying. I hate getting friendly fired, I hate getting shot from behind, I hate moving forward in a group just to realize that the rest of your "group" left you behind. Plus, what is the point of playing an MMO if you don't play with other people? So I started looking around because I wanted to find a group that was organized. But I also wanted to find a group of cool people to play with.

I am reading all these great posts and I guess my gaming has been a little different them some of you. :) PS2 and MWO are my first single player games that I have ever played. I know and I call myself a gamer right? Lol. Most of the games I have played were games like AC, AC2, SWTOR and LOTRO. All of them have clans, guilds, or a kin that involved group or team play. My husband was playing PS2 and MWO and I was interested BUT I really enjoy the social and group interaction that I got from the other games, that is when my hubby showed me the group that he was playing with called BWC (Black Widow Company). I have never played with a Company before and I really didn’t understand how it worked. How could one group of people be able to play different games and still work as one group? To be honest I was the wait and see. I have to say I was impressed! I am so glad that I listened to my husband (hopefully he won’t see this! ) and joined BWC. They are organized, friendly, and make fun games like PS2 and MWO even more fun. I am excited to play SC with BWC. I have learned so much and have really enjoyed my new gaming experience with them. Check out BWC your selves and see what everyone is talking about. http://the-bwc.com/

Years ago I was a BF2 nut, played it competitively in Australia like it was a second job, with a very coordinated and very organised unit. After the 16v16 ladders died down over here the competitive side of BF2 lost it's appeal to most of the guys in the unit, myself included, and while many of us stayed in touch outside the game, the gaming side of things dissolved. After that I floated around a bit between different clans/outfits for various games, but none of them every brought back that same 'magic' as my old unit and I always ended up moving on at some point.

That is, until I found BWC.

I wanted to improve my game play and be involved with a well organised and mature group of players. I have found this at BWC.

I first found out about the Black Widow Company through Planetside 2. I was affiliated with a different outfit on the same server, but their collective disinterest in the game was starting to get frustrating because no one was pushing to improve ourselves as players or to be the most effective force we could be.

When I started looking elsewhere, I found that BWC fit exactly what I was looking for. Haven't looked back since, and I'm extremely excited about rolling with the same group in other games as well. Even as someone who's much more familiar with PS2 than MWO, the sense of Company-wide camaraderie is incredible to experience.

I was looking for a stable, structured, mature group to play and have fun with. I found a lot more. I found a home.

Why I started looking for a team to play with!
A lot of games while fun, lose there luster after awhile for me as just a lone wolf. This is why I started looking for a gaming community to join.
