Will founders have the option to NOT use thier paid for premium time on a game still in BETA?

NO.

You should know better than that lol.

They were going to start your premium time at 'launch' when they first started selling the founders packages.

They changed that wording for "clareity" and are starting your premium time in 'open beta' now.

I dont want my premium to begin counting down on the 16th!

I want my premium to start once the Open Beta is complete and all major features have been implemented.

Welcome to a Wakfu.

Where the company can't wait to start your premium time because when they near "launch" and the issues aren't fixed and people are leaving the game for other F2P titles you would still be able to get a refund.

You now have 6 days to do so, once the open beta starts they won't just give you a refund, they will use the excuse of "you have used assets that are digital and cannot be refunded" also known as your "premium time".

Enjoy. lol and people wonder why I won't pay for a game in beta.

Sorry guys BIG MISTAKE. As one of you most staunce supporters (already bought 6000 MCs on top of my Leg.) I say to you too soon for too little. The game is in no way ready to go to an OPEN Beta like you have planed.
You go OPEN Beta on the 16th then make sure that you give us the option to switch off our premium because I am as sure as hell not going to spend one cent on the game as it is now. You do that and you will have real trouble on your hands, as you are not going to deliver the goods that we pay for and that here in Germany will mean trouble for you.
The game will nose dive because people will feel cheated out of their money, and rightly so. You can avoid this by giving us the possilblity to chose WHEN we go premium.
I hope that you have enough sense to see the writing on the wall, because otherwise this will end up a stillbirth. I am in Hawken and it is alpha and it is better already so there is a problem comming your way, do not ******* i t u p guys, please, even pretty please.

Wow. Barely a month ago you said it'd be 2-4 months before open beta and now we're rolling into it? This screams mistake to me. I sure hope you've thought this through.

Game is not ready for open beta yet. What the hell?
You want to scare off new players with terrible matchmaking (or lack of it thereof), unbalanced weapons, lacking content and lots of other issues?
Someone seriously needs to rethink decision about open beta date.

Heres the level of disconnect between the devs and us.
They actually have the nerve to show a ppc in the OB announcement art.
When was the last time you saw a ppc in game?
I am dumbfounded by this decision. As someone said earlier, its actually surreal they are going ahead with this./
I mean really , after yesterday... its like

If you start premiums on the 16th you are only hurting the ones that tried to support the game from the begininng and have the finacial means to do so. You have taken money for a product you have yet to deliver on. Hell the game as it stands right now is almost unplayable. It an easy arguement, you have yet to deliver a game that can be played at your stated minimum requirements. I get the need to generate funds but who ever in the history of gaming has ever started someones paid play time in open beta. Open F'n beta REALLY? Dont get the rap for being the ******bags of the gaming industry, that clearly belongs to the bioware team that F'd up SWTOR.

I didn't join the Closed Beta because I didn't want to be put off by an unfinished product. I'm happy to wait for something a bit more complete. Open Beta (which for a multplayer F2P game IS "Launch") with no tutorials, no separation between premade teams & randoms, apparently no satisfactory Matchmaker, and screwy graphics? I might be sticking to World of Tanks a while longer.

Errr... I can progress as much as I want to in 2 weeks because matchmaking is broken and I have a team, which means that I never lose and rack up over a million c-bills an hour. Wiping means nothing to me. And I've got the cheapest founders pack you offer. Buy me 2 mechs with my MC: one to pilot and an Atlas to sell (if it doesn't glitch out and leave me with an empty shell of a mech that I can't use). Take those c-bills, load up my mech with whatever I want and then grind away at PUGs because PGI isn't offering me anything else to do.

Hell, your players are organizing an impromptu tournament with 40 teams because we're tired of this, yet you haven't implemented a working matchmaking system yet. We're going on TS3 and doing countdown drops because the existing system is so wonky.

Here's what you need to do: Create a matchmaking system, give decent trial mechs, implement a basic tutorial and training grounds. Tribes:Ascend and WOT both offered matchmaking that put new players into games against each other while they learned the ropes... in their open betas. Get these 3 things done in the next two weeks and then open her up! I'd love to hear the rationale as to why you are opening beta up without doing these basic things first.

I totally agree. At the very least they need to make it so I can choose when to start my premium. At this point the game is broken for me. Hell I can't even exit it properly I end up having to end task it just to get out of the client. I didn't pay 120 so I can play a game that is worse now than it was 3 months ago and have my 3 months of premium be used at a time when I won't play the game b/c of how many problems this new client has.

You guys better add a feature that let's people who sent 60-120$ USD decide when they want to activate their premium and play the game. Otherwise that 120 you guys got from me will be the last $ you ever see from me and I am sure others feel the same way.

TBH, lot of work still needs to be done before this hits open beta. Between visual bugs and having to use task manager to close the game, not to mention any of the other concerns, this game is no where near ready.

Hope the new guys like getting rolled by premades while grinding away in their trial mechs.

This is baffling to me, surely the people over at Piranha must realise that their product is far from ready to go open beta. I hope the heads over at IGP realises that they may very well doom this project if they keep rushing things like this.

I have to agree with everyone whose complaint is about the premium time. Sorry but Launch is Launch of the game not Launch of the Open Beta. That's BS in the highest form. As others have said, Premium players paid early to help support you because they believed in you. Instead you have basically f'd them and lost their faith. I do hope you realize as I post this, I have just read 7 pages of people with a visceral reaction to this move. Your community which you claim to care about is turning on you and justifiably. You got my money but if you plan to use a bonus you promised under the founder package in a BETA then you are ripping off your customers and as others have said I can very much promise you...you will never see another dime from me and I can assure you anyone I speak to will hear the wonderful way you have treated your founding supports. Not a threat as this is the internet, just a fact.

As for the graphics, gameplay, etc...well this is beta. It is to be expected which is why people are so pissed off that your using something they PAID for in an unfinished product. I honestly cannot think of a more BS move than this.

So with the opens beta starting, will there be another reset of player stats and CBills as well as loss of all owned equipment to go with the open beta start. And if not are we to see any more resets in the future?

It was said that joystick control would be fixed before open beta, I assume that means that it will be fixed so that it is usefull not just a crappy option that is not competitive.

Does open beta mean that we will start the "real" campain? That would mean more maps, planetary conquest, resourses, etc. Considering what was not in the laset patch I'm hesatant to believe that you are actualy ready. People are reacting this much to closed beta disappoinments, think of how you will do in the court of public opinion if this is all that is included in open beta?

I love mechwarrior and I want this to succeed, please make smart choices not desperate grabs for cash. Adding skins before gameplay is not smart. I'll play a rough looking game that is fun, but I'll not play a good looking game that is boring (see SWOR)
