How in the world can you make us decide between the iconic assault mechs of Steiner and Davion ? You've just provoked the Commonwealth Civil War before the Clans show up ^^

My vote ? Victor of course. There is no other choice !

Zeus is a must.

Absolute House Steiner staple.

Not including the Zeus would be like having a WWII flight sim and no Bf 109 for the Luftwaffe.

Thug for sure. Not only for the weapons loadout, but also for the distinctive look it has too it.

Now, the Thug... How can you not like the Thug? Heavy armor? Check. Weapons cover a good mix of range? Check. Hole punching and crit seeking? Double check. Aggressive name? Check. Beautiful in a way only something ugly and dangerous can be? Check and mate.

Eh, it's arm-mounted PPC's make it a bit risky for me. I know if I came face-to-face with a Thug, I'd begin to disassemble it before I destroyed it. I feel it also lacks an effective mid-range weapon. The PPC's will do in a pinch, but if you're brawling with another 'mech, you're going to want weapons that can lay on consistent fire. It's like the charge buster from Megaman. Massive damage, but if you miss, you just wasted precious time waiting for your weapon to be ready for the next shot. Meanwhile, you're getting pelted incessantly from everyone who just saw the big deadly blue bolt of energy discharge from your arm.

I love the Thug, honestly, but I feel that people put waaaaaaay too much reliance on the PPC.

I love the Thug. It's my favorite assault really. But... Well if I ever have to play an assault I think Id want it to have JJs. So I went Victor.

That looks pretty Thuggish!

I vote Thug because it has twin PPC's, twin 6-packs, and two hands for holding stuff... like weapons or other Mechs.

Although, I have to admit, the Thug variants aren't too varied... I hope you like having twin PPCs. I do, so that's why I vote Thug.

Victor. Nothing can stop the well placed AC/20 round.

Voted the Lyran standard (Zeus), but it was a difficult choice between the Victor (JJ+AC20) and Thug (OG, NOT Hatamoto-Trash ripoff).

Isn't the Thug and the Hatamoto-Chi basically the same mech except for minor details?

I mean come on, just vote for the Thug and call it a Hatamoto in your head! :P

The difference is in the variants. The Thug has 2 in this era: Star League or dumbed-down. The Hatamoto has about a dozen, as the designers used the chassis to copy other mechs (Marauder, Battleaxe, Thug, etc.)

That's a thing that concerns me: I know the MWLL variants aren't canon, but the variants fill roles that would be filled by other mechs if they could model them (for example: the Hollander with an AC20 filling the role of a Hunchback). In this game, it would close up the roles that would be filled by potential future mechs. So, I'd rather that mechs stayed as unique as possible. No Hatamoto!

I gave the Thug some Love. I like Zeus more, but so does everyone else. And I've never liked Victor.
