Since you guys loved the Ask The Devs 21 so much you asked questions even after I answered, I should probably open a new one. So here you go!

I have three questions. Answer whichever you feel like, but the more the better. :P

What made you choose the lineup of mediums you recreated for MW:O? The mechs, while pretty good, are non-representatives of medium class and rather wanna-be's of other classes and roles, lacking most of medium mech characteristics.

How are jump-jets going to work? How will adding more/less of them influence their performance? Will there be any minimum or maximum to the number we can put on a certain mech?

And how are you going to handle FF armour? Is the mech equipped with it going to look differently, or the same? And mainly, is it going to be variant specific? I'm asking because you have plans of implementing JR7-K, which, however, is a direct copy of the standard jenner, only with the new armour. Assuming you don't want to give it a third missile slot and leave that as a Commando feature that makes it at least a bit of a sidegrade to the Jenner instead of being a clear downgrade.

When will death from above deal more damage to the one being landed on instead of the one that lands on top of the other one? Meaning why dose the mech that lands on another take a bunch of leg damage and do very little to none on the mech they land on. Also the mech that lands on the other falls over every time yet 50 percent of the time the one landed on will stay standing.

This is more indepth qusetion after being told death from above was in in a previous ask the devs.

Will premium time also boost Loyalty Points once CW is implemented?

We see that it boosts XP and C-bills now, but with one more "currency" on the way some of us are wondering if that too will be boosted by premium time.

With the changes to matchmaking/grouping coming soon, how long do you think it will take to go from completing phase 1 to implementing phase 2 in the beta?

2. Question: For the atlas/(insert any assault mech here) will there be the possibility in the future to add extra armor for the price of crit space to get a punching bag? Because right now they are scrapmetal like any other mech.

3.Question: The Mech Efficiencies got a "visual boost", when do they finally get fixed to work as intended? And furter more Is there a slight possibility that an Assault Mech get OTHER Efficiencies as lets say a scout?

4.Question: Will there be a "support/advertise a friend" Option?

Why does mwomercs.com have so many domain names? Please explain the purpose of each.

1.) Will there be a camo which is complete white (or similare to the last screenshot of the week) with a red cross-hair about the center torso? *eg* (the catapult should have it across it's cockpit... :P )

2.) There will be Clan tags but will they be available only for mercs units or also for units of the different factions?

3.) If you are at the main menu, is it possible to implement a pop up system if you recieve a private message?

4.) Will the complete dev team be up to dress as 'hula-boys or girls' :) and make a picture for the MWO community? ^^

1. Will we be able to buy expensive in game items, for example XL engines with straight MC?
2. Will the game incorporate an attached lobby like MPBT Solaris?
3. Do the alternate maps expand on the playable area or are they pretty much the same maps with the spawns moved and/or set at night.

Question 1 is my main question btw.

Have you considered adding cracks to the windshield and/or sparks in the cockpit when you receive damage to the head? What about bad weather effecting windshield, such as rain or snow?

What is the plan for Jump Jets? Currently, only 1 is needed on a chassis to get the full effect. Also, will they eventually work as more than "currently" as in being able to control direction while in the air or to jump backward, sideways, etc.?

Machine Guns seem to be underperforming damage wise by a factor of 2 (as compared to a small lasers rate of dps which is greater by a factor of 3). At the time of this post, there is no mention of looking at them in the weapon balance post. Are there any plans to look into the damage failings of the MG and possibly correct them?

A great deal of discussion has occurred regarding a need for visual representations of hardpoints to change to reflect the gun actually mounted when reconfiguring a Battlemech’s weapons. One side of the debate feels that changes to the weapons mounted create monstrosities that if permitted should at least be reflected visually (For example Ravens and Catapults with large caliber ballistic weapons). Opponents claim that a Battlemech’s weapon load is a matter of information warfare, so no visual clues are necessary, and that shape and size are artist conceptions anyway.

Does the development team consider static visual morphology of gun ports for customized Battlemechs an issue? If yes, would this issue rank as a high, medium, or low priority?

Please clarify the wipe/reset proceedure for open beta.
Will we be wiped at Open Beta and again at launch?
What are the timings for MC resets?
Will we receive any resets during the open beta?

Why do the 50cal machine guns have a range of 90m? Compared to a more real 900M in light of their many weaknesses.
