The plot thickens. Guys... what if PGI... didn't invent that color scheme, if you catch my drift? Do we have another unseen mess at our hands  ?

Or the next mech we see is the Hatchet/AxMan and I say "I told you so!"
Or Paul says I'm stupid and threatens my Beta status.
Either way, someone will benefit. :D

I think I saw this in game last night (Australian time) there was a centurion in a military green colour with a gold/amber coloured cockpit window with a noticeably different looking head and arms with some battle scar type marks on the left arm. It did look cool but it stood there afk the whole match and sat there getting blown to pieces as our base was capped and was not wearing a cape so my initial opinion is that it needs to work on being more heroic.

we all figured it would be the centurion though it did have a couple different builds through he years. Sad thing about Yen lo Wang is it also used various physical attacks hatchet, hook so forth, we wont see in the game for anytime soon. This of coarse makes its one arm rather useless. That and it's odd linebacker look instead of a highly maneuverable quick (yes not fast) mech. I've played all the centurions I'll play this one maybe but I wish they would do a re do on it or at least let it accelerate faster than other mechs something

They might just be messing with us, because that is the mech everyone suspected but doesn't want. We have the AH and anyone who has played with it knows how the story ends, that arm pops off in a single volley and then you're done. YLW is fine in the novels, but less threatening than an HBK-4G in MWO.

I guess the hero mechs are for fluff though, they don't have to be particularly useful...just exist to flesh out the game for some people.

One thing I wish they didn't add to the game. We're going to see people running around in hero mechs like lemmings despite the fact they're supposed to be unique (like 1 total) and the pilots are supposed to be really good.

Im sorry but for someone that was used to MekTek unloading 10-15 NEW mechs every patch this is a bit of a disappointment. It really shows who here is a Mektek patch user and who isn't if your actually praising PGI for this. Laziness..... pure and simple.

MW4 was polished product with expansions and low tech by the time Mektek came around and started to patch in mechs.

That makes it far easier to add in mechs. Also there was no considerations given in Mektek in mech balance. it was just added in. Also its pretty typicalnfor f2p games to release in iterative basis.

Lets not forget that MWO is still in closed beta.

The Mech in the picture is a Centurion and there is no doubt as the shape is unqiue.
The paintjob indicates its YLW and as a CN9-A Variant it has a good setup of hardpoints while it also is proof that PGI does not want MWO become a pay 2 win game as this is no Uber-Mech.
If there is no big surprise Melee will be useless for much more time to come.
Imho it will have the Right Arm from the AH variant bcs otherwise its not able to carry an AC20.
I hope it can carry Missile Launchers bcs nothing is as impressive as frequently launching bunches of Missiles.
The new green Centurion look is not my fav so i probably will buy it if it fits my playstyle.

I feel good to get this option!

PS: It has no useless Left Arm - the Left Arm is very helpful!

Im sure i read some where all hero mechs would also provide a +25% C-bill bonus,

So hero mechs would act like founders mechs, Letting none founders get the same bonus and founders being able to use a diffrent chassis and keeping the bonus.

This also stops none founders crying about how founders pay to win.
