I plan on shooting everyone of you that get out of your mech.

As for battlearmor. Sneaking around trying to hide from me and my PPC. Better yet, let me plant a guass round up your backside. Next up is asking for basements and bunkers that are mech proof.

Great idea that would totally ruin game play of mechs. Since this is going to be a mechwarrior game, go build some sissy power armor game someplace else.

Mechwarrior and Battletech world has more than just the big hulking warmachines. Having everything that was in books would enrich the game not ruin it, it would make the game worthy to use the name it has.

Have you ever tried hitting an elemental that's jumping, and running around this way and that? I'll tell you, it's not easy, they have a very small signature so keeping even one in your sites can be a pain. Now imagine you got abut four or five of those little buggers darting this way and that, and be for you know it, they're at your ankles. Just "stomping on them" is not much of an option, because they can just "get out of the way", and most 'mechs can not aim strait down at their feet. So there they are, peppering you, and ripping armor off of your ankles, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it unless you've got a friend right there to get them off of you. Just hope your friend doesn't hit you by accident.

Just as in Battlefield p4f a tank or APC can be surrounded by sneaky soldiers who throw at it grenades and such. This would be a good thing as it would make it important for both sides to have ground support for mechs, and also not to try to go "solo rambo", and atleast have 1 more friendly mech with you.

Let them get the Mechwarriorring  finished and "online" B) first. Then perhaps other element(al)s ;) can be implemented with out tanking  the whole project. :D

I voted against.

I think the Battlearmor would be a great add, and adds to the realism of the sim. However, I would want this to be a choice, not a requirement due to low C-Bills or anything like that. I believe that this game should focus primarily on the Mech combat, balance supplemental combined arms as it is added after the initial release if it does happen IMHO.

Having everything that is in the whole Milky Way and far beyond would be great too. Adding critters. So if you're bored waiting in ambush you can shoot some.. Or no! You can go outside the mech. climb on its top and play guitar for a bit. when your mech is destroyed you will go fps infantry mode to escape and survive. Your pilot will be thursty\hungry so you have to buy food and drinks. great ideas.

i voted no for now. I would like to see b.a in game but it will only be for clans right now. Maybe in the future when both side can field them. Also i would like to see armor and fighters introduced before i see b.a. I would love to see a demolisher tank or a drillson heavy tank. hell i would take a hetzer w.a.g. Okay i probably wouldn't want a hetzer, that's pushing it. lol

Unless BA or infantry NPCs, why bother mounting MGs

Hell to the yeah! I would love to start up an elemental character when the clans show up. Would not be the clans without them, really aside from the high tech weapons of the clans, these are their second major advantage followed by omni-technology. Once melee is introduced they wont be hard to incorporate. Essentially highly mobile tiny mechs.

This game is about Mechs, I am very happy that its going to focus on that and put the best game it can towards that aspect.

Would a combined arms game be fun? Yes.. is MWLL fun? Yes.. Am i playing MWLL now instead of waiting for MWO? No.

This game is going to be MWO, I want MWO.. I'm really enjoying finding out how this game is going, the focus, the roles, the effects in the sphere and factions. This is the MechWarrior style game I've been waiting for.. Mechs are the kings of the battlefield, and we're going to find out who the real pilots are. And live out some of the rivalries and battles that I've read about for over a decade.

In short... if you want Battlearmor? Go check out MWLL. Its a novelty that wears out fast. Infact, thats part of the problem with MWLL.. burn out fast, no persistence.

I'm going to leave this one open... it seems that no matter how many times these threads get locked and we state that you will not be getting out of your 'Mechs, the topic keeps popping up. That being said, all future topics on battle armor will be merged into this. Then one day, we will make this thread explode. B)

No one is getting out of their mechs. A battle armor pilot is a batle armor pilot from birth. Their bodies will likely not even fit inside a battlemech cockpit. BA is an extremely important part of the clan warmachine and is only slightly less of an impact than the clan mechs. Elementals really arnt combined arms, they are a natural part of the clan war machine and work hand and foot with mechs, unlike how the IS treats vehicles and aircraft.

Just a slight adjustment. Clan Battlearmor Warriors are Elementals as well as the suits they are first encountered in. An Elemental (the warrior not the suit) is a bioengineered being assembled through a combination of eugenics and cloning (most Clan warriors are).

Neither the Nighthawk (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Nighthawk), which was developed during the first Star League, nor the Inner Sphere Standard (http://www.sarna.net...Sphere_Standard), the "modern" IS BA that will be released in 3 years (in game it is 3049), or any of it's off shoots require specially engineered wearers.

Really a moot point for this game though, we are not going to be using Battle Armor according to

Douchebag,

Anyway, I abstain from this vote. I would like to see battlearmor involved as I would like to see all aspects of the BT universe eventualy be incorperated into the game. However I would prefer conventional vehicles and aerospace fighters to be first in those respects.

I'm for BA to be implemented sometime in the future. We'll be i battlemechs for awhile and so having an option to go BA for a bit would be a nice addition in the future.

I think the only way to do Battle Armour would be an AI controlled squad you deliver into battle.
Perhaps even a "weapon" or a "module" that lets you order them around to attack enemies or setup ambushes.

But piloting them i don't think its a good idea, we simply wont have enough players per match to make this worthy of a player space.
1 elemental is fairly useless on his own, that's why they operate in groups of 5 or more.

Having them in the game would make for some serious fun and really make sure you have some small lasers or MG's on your mech.

I loved battle armors in the TT game, but while it would be cool to see them in MWO I'd rather the devs focus on awesome mech vs. mech gameplay. I do think it would be great if they could come up with a way to get some npc AFVs fighting for each side though - something to make us mech pilots really feel like the lords of the battlefield we know we are...

Battlearmor ruins a true mech game as I've stated before. I want to play a game that is mech vs. mech or mech vs. tank. Damn Aero/vtol and battlearmor are not needed. And that's all I'm commenting on it.

Battle armor has been part of the mech games since MW2, they were never playable outside of Instant Action.
