Love it so far. I love double heat sinks, I can fight it out with a gaussapult more easily now, because I can keep pouring on the laser fire. But.. Is anyone else still having lag issues, specifically on the Forest Colony map? Every match I play against a fast mech, I have to intentionally miss in front of it with things like lasers in order for a hit to actually register as damage.

I have lost all my mechs an everything in my inventory. It seems my status go reset to the time I bought the founders pack. Is this suppouse to happen? Also no DX11 and performance seems the same or worst. Do I need to configure something or delete some files?

I'd like to think so, but my Awesome 8T doesn't knock down Jenners. I can confirm that it can get knocked down by Jenners, though. Also Catapults.

I like the patch, mind you took 3 hour's to buy and upgrade everymech I had pre-patch for my use and 3 new Cicada's (Just had to up my Guass Raven into a Cicada). The biggest thing I'm disapointed in is the module costs, and the fact that Yeng-Lo-Wang basically just removes a variant we had previously, swapping the Missile hardpoint for Energy and costing pure MC. Even then that Centurion variant was unloved because of the turret like arm.

As to DHS, Endo, FF... costly but worth it too much, particularly the DHS. Everything I have is DHS, I now have more LRM rack's, more lasers, more everything... why my Cicada is doing 100's with a Guass and 4 SL ripping things apart. Or the swayback variant with 6 ML at 130kph... it funny to have fast roaming battles but hunchbacks are left for dead now with the new speedy medium.

Overall not too bad, bit cluncky with the whole upgrade tab, and the slow saving that has seen entire load-out's forgotten (meant I was a HS short and couldn't launch). Still need proper warnings about no engine or 10HS in a machine prior to launch or reading up.

My 3rd Module slot doesn't work. I got the master unlocked for my 3 atlas but I can only equip 2, when I try to equip the 3rd one the slot turns red and refuses to let me drop the module in.

Edit: Actually, even without purchasing the Master module slot, the top slot doesn't work. It's always red.

Try exiting the game and then coming back, worked for me. If that does not work, then submit a ticket

Yeah I've restarted the client many times, are you sure your not suppose to only start with 1 usable? Then upgrade to 2?

Just shutdown your raven and see if you still get mech information from the battlefield. I'm logging in to do just that :( I'm not sure, but I think ECM is working, I didn't have achance to look at the map but a Light was right on top of me without me seeing it O.O

I hope things haven't gotten so bad that they decided to stop showing how many players are online, because it's blank now in the space where that used to be. ???

Echoing thoughts on knockdown being temporary. Please bring it back when fixed and working properly.
Also not having to task manager out would be good.

Overall, 4/5 for the new patch. The increase in weight of the engines has rendered previous builds useless. Makes it much harder to outfit a mech without using the new endo/FF armor/DHS. It also increased the cost of damages to the point where losing makes you no money if you have all of the extras. Standard mechs should still be able to perform like before, and the new stuff should augment this. Instead, they lowered the performance to make the new equipment look better, also costing HUGE amounts of C-Bills to obtain to get decent mech performance. This makes it a lot harder to play this game without purchasing premium. Sounds and looks like a pay-to-win situation unless economy tweaks are forthcoming.

Other than that, the new stuff is shiny and fancy as promised and appears to work correctly.

2) to those complaining about Centurion and calling it a money grab. Are you insane? You can't wait 2 weeks for the Centurion to be put back in while they are also going to give you Artemis? The vast majority of players won't even notice as they won't get to Elite in the next two weeks anyway. Such a non issue.

Overall opinion so far though is 5/5 - huge improvements. Love the new tutorial videos - although on the targeting one they forgot to include a zoom in when showing TAG symbol. The video zooms in for NARC, but TAG is very hard to see.


So you're -happy- they axed an entire centurion variant, that was already released, so they could add a slightly different one in and charge cash for it? Truly?
The CN9-AH just went the way of the (apparently golden) buffalo, and the one you're talking about happens to be the CN9-D, which has yet to be released.

Yup, my game still crashs with memory error. Just tried to launch it, first game was black screen (never had this before), second game was crash as soon as I was in the map. Meh.

holy jones what a bunch of whining . . . .input fine. . . but my lord, the sense of entitlement ><

this is NO different than any other patch (except the excellent job done by PGI) it's still closed beta and a work in progress. . . .

if you see something truly "wrong" then put a ticket in to deal with it, beyond that go ninny nanny on the discussion forum about how this is wrong or how horrible PGI is for doing X to you . . . unbelievable . . .

As for me and almost ALL my buds, thank you PGI, thank you for doing a solid on this patch and taking a step closer to getting this game where it should be. . . .very very nice ! ;)

LOL I dont have a widescreen or HD monitor so I don't see my bobblehead unless I Ctrl view to the left. Waste of money. Hope the skin makes up for it.

Drag {Empty} out of the slot that doesn't work. that fixes it

Why? This pushes light mechs even more because now the keep close behind the heavy mech and habe to fear nothing!

Knocking down was cool, realistic and helpful so why did you remove it?


Yeah I often used the strategy of walking backwards into a light to knock him down.

They just hug your feet now... its ridiculous.
