I don't know what you want.

No really... why are you here? Why make this thread? To complain? For what reason? Is that reason beneficial? Will it help someone else?

I don't understand your reasoning. The founders has been around for over 6 months. There were signs everywhere. More so there were adds on facebook saying "Founders ends soon." Not to mention Youtube, Google plus, Most game forums.

I'm sorry to tell you. There was no lack of communication. I think you should probably just accept something happened on your end of the world and that it was your fault for not reacting to it in a manner that befits your situation or benefitted you. Blaming others isn't going to help anything. :\

Also... you're not missing out. You can still buy MC. You can still get mechs that give cbill bonus's and you can still buy premium time.

The game is still amazing. Nothing will stop your enjoyment.

In my opinion the founders program was available for way too long anyway. When it first came available we decided to show our support to this game while having almost no information about it. Continuing to sell it even after NDA was lifted and also everyone could get beta invites and test the game before deciding if they wanted to buy founders package kind of cheapens the commitment early buyers made on blind faith alone.

It was never meant to last until open beta, and even if you lost all the emails in your spam folder you can only blame yourself for not visiting the forums every two weeks or so. Also when they originally said that it might not last much longer than something like middle of August, if you didn't have it by middle of October you won't be getting much sympathy here.

This is where you went wrong dude. There was plenty of reasons otehr than beta scess to get a founder's pack ..

the 30 dollar bundle gave you FOURTY dollars worth of MC points and 1 month premium account status basscailly you got about a 50 dollar value out of a 30 dollar price.

the 60 dollar bundle gave you 2 months premium EIGHTY dollars worth of store cash and your choice of one founder's mech .. the mech is priceless since i believe they will not ever be selling that skin again. then the premium and mc point value is up to about 90 bucks , that you get for 60 bucks .

the 120 dollar gave you all founders mech plus the 80 bucks of mc points and a three month priemium status. and you get you name in the game tester credits.

so having the mentatily that the founder packs were only good for closed beta acess is rediculous each founder pack gave way more value than what they were costing for that pack.

i am usually broke myself, but even i managed to grab the 60 dollar founder's pack , after having had beta acess for 3 months prior to buying it.

and ask me it was well worth more than just the beta acess that i already had . you obviously didn't read much on what the founder packs offered.

btw to sidetrack a bit, the main reason i would get the founder's package would be to speed up the starting grind. yes you get more cash value, u get a lot of promises, but i would rather keep my money in the pocket until the last minute. show me the goods and i'll show you the cash

hmm i find your thinking flawed , rather or not most peopel bought a founder's pack ahd little to do with faith in the game , or wanting to test it first , for most folks it had more to do with money , having the founders packs availible for so long made perfect sense given the current market and the fact that the largest palyer base is in a country that is currently still fighting off a recession (the US).

i wanted to buy a founder's pack before i got beta acess, but i didn't have the money. I wound up geting beta acess first via the normal route. I did go buy a founder's pack as soon as i was able, but in my situation it had nothing to do with my faith in the game. Should i have been penalized on buying a founder's pack myself simply because i was not born wealthier?

but as for the guy that made this post , he should have checked back on the web page if it really concerned him that much. I know i checked on here the whole first 3 months of my beta acess praying they kept the founder packs available long enough for me to get the money for one. lucky for me i got the money before they closed the FP programs. but ti was not iuck that i constantly kept my eye on it.

i liek it for the huge C pile you get , i bought the 60 dollar apcka dn got 80 bucks worth MC. but liek you i'm also gonna be tight on those mc points after this alst final reset , i'll hang on to my points to buy a mech that is more unique than the average mech variants, i may get the hero centurion , but most likely i'll wait for a better hero mech to show up maybe a catapult or awesome hero mech. we'll see i certainly don't intend to blow it on regular mech variants.

I have a solution though...

Just buy two months of premium and the YLW centurion and you will have all the same perks as the founders does in-game.

Or don't do that and wait for the launch when i am sure they will be having other "Starter packs" to entice people to buy stuff.

I fail to see the problem.

Under profile / communication, there are two checkboxes:

* Sign up to receive MechWarrior® Online™'s newsletter.
and
* Please send me information about other FASA products including: MechWarrior®, Shadowrun and Crimson Skies.

I have none of those checked and I did not receive any news about the open beta or the end of the founders program either. I did however receive the beta newsletters, that come from beta-newsletter@mwomercs.com.

While I do not agree with the bashing you receive, I do think that this thread serves no purpose as there is a very high probability that you not receiving the newsletter was actually just them honoring your settings, as in not sending you unwanted spam. The chance of that is much higher than the other option, which is the otherwise working mailing logic skipping a few addresses just for fun and giggles.

Occam's razor sorta applies here as well.

As others already said: there will surely be other opportunities and this could also be a lesson for the future.. that is: if you can do something now.. then delaying it might cause you to lose the opportunity. Unexpected sh*t happen all the time you know.

Keep it civil eh. I don't have any wonder these days why people avoid this forum, it's so full of hate and vitriol it's not funny.

Very true, that's why I've been so hesitant to post anything really...

Jup, i have to agree. There is clearly a lack of communications.

But more on your end. Member since early august, 8 Posts, all in this one and all complaining that you didnt receive some informations.

So its easier to give others the fault instand of looking at yourself that you didnt inform yourself at all, and didnt care.

Sorry to hear you didnt got the E-Mail. I got them. Even the one that said the open beta start today. But its not always the fault of PGI. Sometimes the problem is somewhere else to be found.

thank you that is a very practical solution, however i will wait for a heavier mech than the commando which i can earn in pretty good time

honestly founders was available for 6 months, if you missed out on it i feel bad for you but they gave you plenty of time. it was originally supposed to end in Aug and that was plastered EVERYWHERE

waiting til the last possible second to do something doesn't pay off sometimes.

SO rather than just making a post asking if there had been information (even though searching would have found it) you make an inflamatory subject line and then try to defend your post as just wanting to find out whats going on.

Ive gotten emails, others have too

I actually never received the e-mail regarding the ending of the Founder's Program either. I had planned on bumping up to Elite once they finalized the MC/$ ratio numbers, but oh wells.
