I hate to focus on details but are we not say, 20 years too early for there to be another Clanner openly fighting on Solaris?

Otherwise looks good. :P

And this is why we should ban all clan fanboys in any RP set before the invasion.

I am NOT a fanboy, I just went for the side with more of a challenge. Where areas the IS could use all the dirty tactics in the world, we had to abide by Zell, and I did, for the most part.

But, I also played a few where I was the IS, against some REAL Clan fanboys, it is awesome pwning someone when the make the completely unrealistic bid of 2 Stars of Dire Wolves against my paltry company of vehicles, a few mechs, and some aircraft.

Hate to tell you GW, but clans are not the bigger challenge, and you are a fan boy :P
When the IS can only fit, at most, 2 thirds the firepower as you can with the weapons at your disposal, and your weapons all outrange theirs, and you have more armour for the same weight, and you have higher speed, and you take less crits on all your advanced equipment...
The IS can use any strategy they want, sure. But they still have worse pilots and worse equipment, and anyone who has ever studied military history will hands down tell you that the newest equipment in the hands of better warriors on the block will always win in any but the most schewed fight. Strategy is for reducing your losses and maximizing your opponents - if the other guy is throwing rocks at your tank, you're perfectly safe just rolling into the village. Using your brain is required when the other guy has the brawn required to put some hurt on you - which the clan have in spades.
The IS is the more challenging fight, because while they outnumber the other guy, they're outranged, outskilled, outgunned, and outarmoured. The one major advantage the IS has over the clans is the average canborn is mentally retarded. So the IS uses 'dirty tricks', which in common military parlance, means 'Actually use strategy, exercise brains over brawn, and put the other guy down before he tries to drop you.'

Only a clan fangirlboy thinks strategy is a dirty trick my friend!

The important thing to remember is that IKEA/Sweden are superior to both the Clans and the IS.

One may have the Dire Wolf and the other the Atlas but we have tables named after Swedish geographic regions.

Game, set and match for Sweden.

V

Uhhhh...Thom, you quoted yourself saying fixed there, not GW.
And ****** Liao. Trying to get me killed at a peace talk with House Steiner. It's a good thing Colonel Renard likes to leave abandoned bases nearby...

EDIT: Just noticed I'd originally thought we were in 3039, not 3031. Jack's birthday was set as 2991, and age of 48 - he must own a time machine. He's cunningly concealed it by retconning his birthday though.

I'm sort of waiting for Jeremy to respond back on the 19th before Bertie went to bed. Not that I expect much to change, just that it'd feel weird narrating out of chronology.

Might bring Heather back to talk to the two of you, though.

That could very quickly prove amusing.

Breakfast is done.

I can see Heather's English degrading while she hangs with D and Jack. When we moved up here to Reno my six year olds degraded from hanging out with my Brother in-law's and three year old.

When we first moved to America, my sister lost the ability to pronounce the letter 't' if it was in the middle of a word...
Still, if she does pick up a Space Scottish accent, Jack would warm up to her a lot faster - if just to see how much he can corrupt the poor girl.

I can crunch numbers quickly, but per my last post, any and all ideas to meet someone else on my own, kaput. All either way out their on another level above normal for me, or just plain awkward, weird and more than a little creepy.

Generally it's assumed that you shouldn't start talking to someone by being caught doing a panty raid.

I can crunch numbers fine, Thom. But my head kinda explodes when it comes to trying to meet people on the fly. Last time when I had Dylan just go to the mess, I tried to figure out how he could possibly see someone, and my brain locked up.

Oh and Rogue it was worse than that.
