Update:
A little update added, so u need to redownload it. Locust got 2 Ballistic hardpoints at the wrong location.

Is there anyway to edit the MBV files? Or to load from the exported text files?

I took a look at save/load function, but this is far too complex for my minor knowledge about Java.
Or maybe someone else know more about it and can take a look at it via github.

Btw, you could add the Dragon Slayer. My speculation is
RA->GR
RT->2x medium lasers (2x energy)
CT->nothing
LT->SRM4 (single missile hardpoint)
LA->PPC (single energy hardpoint.

However now many of my saves are showing the wrong chassis.
Atlai and Awesomes are OK.
Cataphrat = Blackjack
Catapault = Cataphrat
Centurion = Catapualt
Commando = Cicadia
Dragon = Commando
Hunchback = Highlander
Jagger = Hunch
Jenner = Jagger
Raven = Locust
Spider = Orion
Stalker = QuickDraw
Trebuchet = Raven
Those are all I have saves for.
