I'm no ace at Mechwarrior, but I know arrogance when I see it, the Goons should be able to too since Band of Brothers was known as one of the most arrogant alliances in EVE and the Goons were against them and won.

I especially like that he decries people who 'Talk about how good they are' then lists all these people that are just CHOMPING AT THE BIT TO CRUSH THOSE GOONIES, like ahahah daaaaaamn son sit down we just wanna play some internet gundams and have fun, ain't out to ruin anything for anybody.

I'm surprised that having an ego as big as his isn't against the code of conduct.

To speak productively though, just having a centralized groupspace to discuss all the matters within your faction will definitely become an investment that has great returns as the developers reveal more about how they will handle the revamped community warfare. There have been a few good threads discussing that aspect of the game and I hope the developers pushed that segment of the game back because they were taking the suggestions discussed in them to heart.

There are no units gunning for us, just as there are no units supporting him. Nothing outside from 3rd rate unit at best, no unit would be so cowardly as to not even post in support of someone?
I dont think I've ever heard of a unit not wanting to post on a forum out of fear of some kind?
Now hes gone from "goons are bad at wot" to "goons will be bad at wot sometime in the future" classic moving of the goal posts.
No unit gunning for us will be on par with BoB, no unit gunning for us will compare to some of the elite units we're fought in WoT, thats why there are no units, and no unit would dare "gun" for us in the manner that clown shoes is saying.
If anything they know where to find competition, but no unit would think theyll be able to dominate us.

*shrug* clearly you are poster children for the current state of society. Public education is doing a great job these days. Narrow-thinking is a great limitation to exploit. As for cowardly, I would bet you are the type of guy who would roll over like a dog and play possum if you were confronted with someone in real life. You wouldnt say 90% of this to someone in person. So I wouldnt comment on cowardly. You can find me on TS and we can talk in person, we are just below you on the public teamspeak. I doubt you have the spine though.

coming from someone who hasnt done anything but waged war online, you have no right to talk to me about courage. I have devoted 2 years of my life to my country in war. So until you do the same, keep your mouth shut about courage, cause its something you dont understand.

Yo man you know lots of goons have served and continue to serve in the armed forces, right? That doesn't excuse you for being a big headed bully.

I dont see them posting here about courage either, cause they arent that stupid.
Likewise, Im not bullying anyone, Im responding to people who are attempting to bully, albeit poorly.

You honestly are funny talking to anyone about ego's after your posts. Just cause your members are in the armed forced doesnt mean you (Vandal) or Supremacist have. So dont talk about what you dont know. If those service members want to come and talk to me, so be it, but i would put money on the fact that they wouldnt be as belligerent or egomanical as either of you.

keep the ignorant drivel coming though, It helps me learn alot about you

I dunno if this is a self burn or what, cause ain't nobody been talking about courage right now.

Constantly verbally harassing other players who simply hold different views than you and creating ever more elaborate insults against their intelligence/COURAGE is bullying though, yes.

you serious? look at your comments based on my point of view....hypocritical much? And supremacist was just calling "other units" cowardly. How is that not talking about courage? Are you this dense on purpose, or are you genuinely that lost? I dont pretent to like you. In fact, based on how you guys carry yourself (we are better than you, period) i find your very attitude insulting to this entire community, just like i found the attitude of the MPBT players insulting. Ego driven bullshit that is disgusting. If I respond so strongly to that type of behavior then it lets me know I am still very much human, with my heart in the right place. Perhaps you are the one who needs to self reflect.

Don't you think you should I don't know... maybe step away from the computer for a bit and re-evaluate some things?

For those thinking the community doesn't support us. 9th Application received today.

Why are you interested in joining the 1st Blackburn Raiders? What makes us different from other units? Explain why you thought that particular thing made us rise above other prospective units.

The thing that made the Raiders jump out to me was Azantia's comment on the MW:O forums about how the Raiders disagree with a lot of the elitist MPBT players that held their "long service" over newer players. As one of those newer players, it led me to check you guys out. Beyond that, I was further intrigued by your loyalty to the FedSuns and a...propensity for mercenary work. As I currently maintain a mercenary unit in EVE Online, it seems that the Raiders are even more in line with my methodology than I initially realized. I want a niche where I feel not only welcome, but where I can also grow as a member within the greater whole. I feel the Raiders value merit over length of service, and thus, I have come to you.

No, I dont think I should step away from the computer to re-evaluate anything : I am right where I want to be. I had plenty of time to "evaluate" my life before, during, and after fire-fights in Afghanistan, thanks for the suggestion though.

Azantia, many of us do not post much; however, many of us share your viewpoints. Many of us already know that their "ignorant drivel" comes naturally and continuously, so we already know them pretty well. The simple reason we don't waste our time trying to communicate with many of them.

They do have some great players, but those I know, haven't and won't partake of the "ignorant drivel". They are easily summed up like this; that cartoon called Hey Spike, where a big tough bulldog walks around with a scrawny little hyperactive mutt, following him around. The little mutt is always running around like an ADHD afflicted child, challening everyone to fights and talking smack. He himself has no power and knows it, but he instigates trouble anyway. Once trouble comes, he turns tail and runs to Spike to handle the fight, each and every time.

That is one reason I like having them around, being able to see that cartoon played out by real people.

:) I know you guys are there. We have been in contact with several units who share our point of view and yours on not wanting to waste their time and sanity getting involved. Lucky I have no sanity left...I know the general battletech community are good people. The community has been built on mutual respect and even to a certain degree, rivalry.....our community doesnt need people like the goons contaminating it...unfortunately we dont have control over that. At this point LordRush and Qin dont really seem so bad...comparatively speaking.

I think there's a forum ordinance on how high you can saddle your horse. We're all just good minded goonie citizens worried for your safety, Azantia!

If you don't have anything constructive to say about the topic of the thread, please stop posting in it, I would like to discuss unit cohesion with Atomfire instead.

Did anyone else suffer during the early posts trying to understand? I couldn't even figure out if this thread was relevant to me because I had no idea what CoC or AFFS were. I had things I could fill in, but I didn't know if they made sense. :)

CoC means one of two things depending on who you ask : Chain of Command or Chain of Communication(s).

How its run changes depending on who is at the top....

Basically its similar to a unit alliance and it allows the guys calling the shots to move units who are part of the alliance where they want them. You can have multiple units working towards a single goal as dictated by the High Command. Very basic way of looking at it...its more complicated than that....it has positives and negatives, mostly depending on who is in charge / how leadership is delegated.

If you continue to make non-constructive posts in this thread while attempting to pick a fight with me for whatever reason, I will have to report you for violating the forums code of conduct.

The basis of the idea of the Chain of Command is to centralize all the communications between the different groups of players fighting under the Federated Suns. This can manifest itself either as a shared common offsite forum or even a Voice over IP server ala Mumble or TS3. The end result of having a CoC is increased player skill and coordination, along with easier training and tutoring for newer players who might have not have had the same experience as other veterans!

A group organized under a solid chain of command will almost always trounce any other group of more disparate, pick up game players. Success in a high skill game like mechwarrior is often dependent on the fast and accurate sharing of information and tactics between groups of players who might not be as familiar with each other otherwise. It's pretty easy to think of the CoC as just a place where people who like to have fun hang out and enjoy playing with eachother!

you have violated it several times as well, I have had this conversation before, so report if you would like, it is your right, I have found that the moderators are very level headed and will review the entire thread. Last time I was reported, the moderators stated that they felt I had been attacked and was defending myself and as such just asked me to politely stand down so they could talk to the other party. This is a very similar situation so I am not worried, report away.

More non-constructive posts attempting to goad me into a confrontation, tsk tsk, Azantia, we should know better than that.

Even an incompetently run Chain Of Command would have an advantage against a unit that had no formal organization whatsoever to speak of, I say its worth a shot to try organizing one!
