I'm finding this Round Robin Light Mech game annoying.

Frankly, they should do some kind of compromise here.

Like putting back in HOSTILE tripping, and leaving "Friendly Fire" tripping out.

Hell, I'd say delete "Friendly Fire" tripping for good.

Ima laugh at the rage when all the kids who joined after open beta and think there good with a light mech get face jacked when collisions go back in.

and suddenly.... ATLAS FOOT

Tripping was horrible. When it gets re-implemented (that's the plan, right?), I'd hope it would be much different, and much less likely to happen in most situations. Lag armor seems to be the bigger issue right now, anyway.

I'd rather have the old bugged tripping mechanic that we used to have over none at all. Light mech combat has changed considerably because of it. I dont want to wait 2 months for it to be put back in.

I didn't find it that annoying just because I felt it was a nice part of the game. Hey you're driving a piece of heavy machinery...why don't you bother looking at the mini sometime and stop running into people. Lights have no fear of running underfoot now.

Which is never, given how "successful" PGI has been in fixing the net code...

I love to pilot my Jenner, but yes this lack of collision is horrible, bring back the bugged version while working on a fix, please.

My Dragon looks forward to the day it can clothesline people again.

MUhahahahaha.

Oh, and that doesn't mean just light mechs, either.

actually it DOES now, because just a couple weeks before it was removed, they fixed the dragon. It was labeled as a 100 ton mech for the purposes of knockdown. So your days of bowling over bigger mechs are over. On mediums they would be tripped too. BUT you can still have a light mech bounce off of you!.

No, because Battlemechs don't have the ability to simply phase through one another.

Friendly or no, you bump into another mech, you should be losing some paint and metal.

Actually the Dragon being good at ramming again would be a good boost to an otherwise underpowered heavy.

Before collissions return, there needs to be something to stop abuse though. Possibly once knocked down cannot be rammed again for 10 seconds.

Also, would be nice to see mechs with proper arms get up faster from knockdowns.

I wouldn't mind it coming back.

I run a light mech in my group and at least 1-2 of them will run lights with me in a little wolfpack. I'll run into an enemy light or medium (or heavy if we're moving fast enough) and knock it off, my buddies shoot him. When he stands back up, one of them runs into them and then we keep shooting them.

Rinse and repeat till they are dead. Doesn't matter how good or bad they are, they die.

if it comes back well good luck with new people joining this game, and other sticking around. Tripping, 3rd person and elo are game breaking on the level of SWG NGE.

Knocked down again? Man, if I got started on what I want my Dragon to do to knocked down mechs... That claw... The claw in the left arm... it is just seething with desire to ... to... well... heh heh, if we see the day of knockdowns and melee... it will be glorious!
