MechSpecs digs out an important nugget
JR7-F Variant confirmed!!!!!!!
But... as I understand the MechLab from last week, you can make a JR7-F from a JR7-D. Drop the SRM and ammo and add 3 tons armour. Done deal. <.<

Look at that; the main interview was edited to remove that little tidbit of info

Nice catch on the info slip!

Although yes, it sounds like it's a pretty simple change to make in the Mechlab from the D variant. Not sure why that'd make a special variant for it which you had to gain mech XP for, since it really doesn't change the mech's function very much.

Either way, it is interesting that it confirms my suspensions that the parts will be purchased separately for use in the Mechlab, which is neat!

Can anyone back me up on this or point out something different?

And as a database manager I can appreciate the dislike of "science projects";
"Hey, need you to dig out some info for me."
<looks over the list> "Okay, should have a good data set in one, two hours tops."
"No good, got a meeting in 15 minutes. Any way to hurry that up?'"
</facepalm>

You could fly into the air just by CASE-ing all that ammo at one time.
So did the variant show like 85/75Tons? What stopped you from putting on more?
