How To Make User.cfg Work Again (+ Patched Sys_Spec* Files)

I am a total rookie to all of this, and am wary to try it out...still willdo reg mouse sensitivity, I simply can not rly adapt to what my mouse acts like ingame ( and dont rly feel like buying a mouse that is able to dpi adjust ).
So, I am very gratefull for all the Info posted in this thread, just want to make sure I got that correctly: I can simply open the user.cfg file with an editor, put
; cl_sensitivity = 2
i_mouse_inertia = 0
;--- Set mouse inertia. It is disabled (0.0) by default.
i_mouse_smooth = 0
;--- [1..30] Set mouse smoothing value, also if 0 (disabled) there will be a simple average between the old and the actual input.
i_mouse_accel = 0
; --- usually a small number, 0.1 is a good one
i_mouse_accel_max = 100
; --- Set mouse max mouse delta when using acceleration.
that in, save as .cfg, restart client and my mouse will act differently, provided I have
shutdown client/patcher bfore I did the editing;
uncommented the Lines I want to have effect on my mouse ?
Did I get that correct?
I am also rly interested in what these:
i_mouse_smooth = 0
;--- [1..30] Set mouse smoothing value, also if 0 (disabled) there will be a simple average between the old and the actual input.
i_mouse_accel = 0
; --- usually a small number, 0.1 is a good one
i_mouse_accel_max = 100
; --- Set mouse max mouse delta when using acceleration.
actually do. Especially the mouse_accel_max . I simply dont understand what the comment says.
The code is copied from the .cfg courtesy of Yaros.
Thx in advance for any answers.

Game is unplayable, got ~7fps but froze to 1-2 in firing, turning and in meele mode. Thermal took 2-3s to change and I can see rivers, shadowns, trees, sky, fog, blur, details and all some other effects that didnt had before and gave me steady 15fps, lo lag at all running jenner@150+
Will came again in next patch to see again, no chance to spend 1500USS for a midlevel computer (in my country electronics cost a lot)

Today at home and nothing to do tried to hack in game files to see if could get some fps. WOW, I got it.
Deleted all default cvars in Engine.pak and everything got to work, but I really really dont recommend to do it, I did just for testing purpouse and because it is against the TOS. If you want to do, do in your charge.
Here is my lowlow config, borrowed some tex and hud code from Yaros525 (thank you!). Just say, now it is wonderfull, if someone want to hack the file and test it, feedback will be apreciated because I got no issues in last games.

Newest user.cfg file. This should work very well for a lot of you. I've managed to pull gains of 5-7 FPS over previous versions. Not the greatest quality, but the game still looks quite good considering how toned down the graphics are with this setup.
I've also managed to remove/fix the sound crackling & popping issues, even on forest colony, with the new sound config settings. old ones remain in for reference.

so i cant change them, if i try to copy them in the game keeps crashing.
I admit after they did the patch in the beta which disabled the user.cfg i find the game totaly unplayable. Not becouse of the performance (60 fps+) but the grainy graphic and the feeling im short-sightend.
total ******** :\

Hi Xune. Have you tried this fix? http://mwomercs.com/...-grain-removal/
It made the game look a lot better to me, it also gave me a couple more fps (though I know that isn't as important to you).

just for the record, I believe what is meant by mouse delta is the maximum change at each step, that is each time your mouse sends a signal, what is the maximum amount of change the game allows. This basically sets the maximum amount of acceleration allowed.

You read the main post - didn't you?
Read again, note the sentence: "If you can't find this entries: ..."
If your game keeps crashing after all - you may have some settings in your user.cfg causing this.
To figure out: make backup and try to wipe big sets from your user.cfg until it stops crashing.

yes i did, dident work for the beta client. Downloaded the game compleatly again now.
Even without the points pointed out in your first post the settings where there right away.
After setting them to 0 the game dosent crash anymore, but it dosent need to. The whole screen remains black in mechlab/game itself, only the hud is visible.
the user.cfg was working perfectly fine in beta. Until they patched the first time about user.cfg needing to be enabled trough some way.
I realy appriciate your effort to help everyone, thank you for it.
But i allso have to admit the need to play around like this just to make a game look not like your a short-sightend mole playing without your glasses is stupid.
I cant believe we still have no fix for this in the options. Leave alone all the other stuff which was adressed 100 times trough closed beta and where never touched. But yea.. i guess its more important to animate snowflakes for some maps.
*rantoff*
i give up for today, tinkering around for 3 hours just to get back to the performance/stability/good graphic instead of this blurred out at distance yellow-filter stuff is more then i can take for one day.
-- User Enhancements --
r_TexturesFilteringQuality = 0 (max Texture quality)
r_UseEdgeAA = 0 (removes ENTIRE screen blurring [Fake AA])
r_MotionBlur = 0 (Cures motion sickness)
r_DepthofField = 0 (Cures motion sickness)
r_PostProcessEffectsFilters = 0 (off to be on the safe side)
r_PostProcessEffects = 0 (off to be on the safe side)
r_PostMSAA = 0 (Similar to UseEdgeAA)
r_HDRRendering = 0 (removes HDR eye-shifting, off on the safe side)
r_SSAO = 1 (Ambient Occlusion awesomeness)
r_FSAA = 1 (Full-Screen Anti-Aliasing, not sure if it was on before?)
r_UsePOM = 0 (Makes textures look raised [like rocks], but has issues with Anisotropy, turned it off)
r_TexMaxAnisotropy = 16 (Distant terrain texture awesomeness)
d3d9_TextureFilter = trilinear (Textures look sharper !)
r_TexturesStreaming = 0 (load all textures on game load, ONLY FOR HIGH END PCS!)
gp_omicron_allow_c3voip = 0 (no c3 download)
was what i still have from the old-working days

GG. Launch patch is horrible and we're at best reclaiming only half the frames we used to.

Tested on my notebook C2D@2.0 GF9700m giving all steady 18-21fps on all maps. No lags, no dumps, saw a single 4fps issue in 15 games in a row (as it is a know to all, wont record it as an issue)
This disables everything that I could do. May look not so great graphics, but works and I can aim at fast scouts in my crap notebook.

The Problem ist, that every config works different on different systems...
I've posted Yaros config, witch was working fine before the last patch... but is nearly useless for the most now...
I didn't tweaked performance a lot... so I have no clue about the most of this settings... my part is just to provide the possibility of using user.cfg for tweaking.
For ME running this config (found somewhere in the beta forum once upon a time) I get the best results:
There are some redundancies... but that didn't bother me...

- added more configs posted in this thread
- added file mwo_high_prio.reg for download
- added Hi-End config (remove last marked block, if you have more then 1024 MB VRAM!)

All i want is to disable depth of field and motion blur while keeping everything else on high.
I set all *sys_spec* values in my attributes.xml in C:\MWO\MechWarrior Online\USER\Profiles\Budor to 0.
My user.cfg is in C:\MWO\MechWarrior Online and all i have in there is:
sys_spec_Environment = 4
sys_spec_GameEffects = 4
sys_spec_ObjectDetail = 4
sys_spec_Particles = 4
sys_spec_PostProcessing = 4
sys_spec_Shading = 4
sys_spec_Shadows = 4
sys_spec_Texture = 4
r_DepthOfField = 0
Game starts with dof...WHY?!
I have tried the provided files to. Copied them to "C:\MWO\MechWarrior Online\Engine" creating this path "C:\MWO\MechWarrior Online\Engine\Config\CVarGroups_MWO" and edited out all sys_spec values out of my user.cfg. No effect.
(There is a system.cfg in C:\MWO\MechWarrior Online containing the following text:
"-- Default system.cfg configuration for development
--
-- Your personal settings can be stored in 'systemcfgoverride.cfg' so that they don't create
-- any conflicts for version control" and some cvars. Creating a systemcfgoverride.cfg does nothing.)
Edit: Lost about 3 hours yesterday (again) trying to work this out. Its prolly some dumb failure on my part but i cannot find it

just tested:
r_DepthOfField = 0 works perfect using my patched files!
...but won't if you just change the [redacted]
Seems the last patch killed the option of changing [redacted] again!!!
I admit haven tested this after the last patch... topic is updated...
