matchmaking is being changed, read the upcoming features and so on. It's only temporarily removed, 8v8 will be back in within a month (about).

I mean holy ****, so many people can jump on the forums of a BETA game and rage and whine and complain, when with 5 minutes of reading they can find that the 4 person mtachmaking groups has been announced AND promised to be a short term fix for newer players. If you were playing in good 8 man groups you would likely have been working as 2x 4man teams or such what not anyway.

This game is a SIMULATION not a FPS. It is in BETA not retail. IT IS BEING PATCHED EVERY WEEK! Like O.M.G. That simply doesn't happen. It really doesn't. PGI are working insanely hard and are being so invovled with the community it is not funny. Sure not everything is canon or perfectly balanced. Report it and wait for a reply.

Don't just whine-quit on the forums when you won't anyway.

This is phase 1 of a 3 phase Match Making upgrade and will eventually evolve into a skill based matching system.

They should just make TDM with a respawn system and throw the PUGs there, that's what they want anyways, one man army.

Phase 1 should never have been implemented EVER!!!!!!!!

Pugs are worthless, they have the console mentality of I AM OP, and can carry my team to victory BS. They do nothing but die in the first 5 min of the game.

This is horrid, and has made this game trash.

The way I've seen another game do this is let Solo players play in their own queue.

In a separate queue, players could make a group between 1 and 5 people for a 5 vs 5 game. This way groups could end up with something like 1x2x2 vs 1x4, 1x1x3 vs 2x3, 5 vs 5, or any variations. The people who joined with below the max group size knew what they were getting into and knew the queue would be a harder challenge for them.

I DO understand that it sucks, not to be able to play with all your comrades, but this game is about more than YOUR Clan/Unit/Team/Roster, whatever you call it.

I think, matchmaking phase 2 should have been implemented BEFORE OB, but now we have what we have and after you stomped PUGs for a while, give them a chance for a while, you will be able to fight in 'REAL' Teamwork battles afterwards, as your enemys, when you are playing in a coordinated 8 man group, will be coordinated, too.
This will give you a challenge, challenges are fun, fun is worth wayting for a few days or weeks.

hey remember this great thing they had way back when there was a msn gameing zone we played a game called mech warrior 3 we all meet in a thing called the zone and had a chat lobby and a thing called game room,s where 16 players got together and did battel work realy well for that maybe it work for this if u would just try it

I can not express how happy I am to be forced into grouping with random players that are afk whilst shutdown for the entire match.

It is great not being able to play with a group of friends and enjoy the community we built.

^^ I posted about this forcing to pug... I strongly disagree with it. I understand this will change in round 3... but this is many weeks of playing with friends.

The strong community is the foundation for years to come.

I have to agree with this.
Before the patch people got a freedom to chose how to play. Now they dont. Everyone is forced to play with some random dudes eaven if you have a full group of frends/clanmates/etc.
There was a huge disbalance when packs of lone wolves were forced to play against premade team 90% of time. I thought this will be fixed by tweaking a matchmaking system. Make the team full of lone wolves play against other lone wolves, make teams play aginst teams! Both sides could be happy.
