Hey cool. At the rate they put out mechs, its nice to have about a years notice the Blackjack will one day be in game.

I agree, we have a whole boat load of mechs we won't see for quite some time.

unexpected, but cool nonetheless ;)

Unexpected? Are you kidding? We are calling the BeeJay since the Trebuchet in this thread.

Heh, as slow as a hunchback with less armor

But yay for arm mounted ballistics

All variants are 64.8 kph stock... So it will be 84.6 kph with the biggest engine, before mech efficiencies

BJ-1: 2 AC/2, 4 ML, Jump Jets
BJ-1DB: 2 LL, 2 ML, Jump Jets
BJ-1DC: 2 AC/2, 4 ML, 2 SL
BJ-2: 2 ERLL, 4 SSRM2, Jump Jets

Hardpoints here.

It's NOT an Omnimech. The Draconis Combine built an omnimech verson of this (5 tons heavier IIRC) after the Clan invasion. It was mostly used as an export sales mech to other great houses during the clan invasion peace between the great houses as it was considered to be a junk base. It did better then expected (both in performance and sales)

I expect the BJ-2 will be VERY popular.

exactly the omni version doesn't come out till 3058,

We have now 4,5 "quartets" of L-M-H-A announced with 2.5 already in game and a hope that we will have 3 this year (Cataphract, Stalker). Closed beta launched May 22 with, I believe, 4 mechs (Founders Four)? And 6 more were introduced during 5 months. Looks more like 8 months to half a year for BJ to make it into the game, assuming everything is fine.

speaking of Othos... would anyone esle kill for a book (digital or otherwise) with the orthos and other concept art of the mechs in this game... I know i would pay some very nice money for that.

It would be cool if we Founders get one (at least the digital PDF). ;)

C'mon Alex. Dragon and Cicada didn't teach you anything? ;)

A nice mech, but I really fear all those supposed "pilots" with twin gauss pop-tarting. :(

Twin Gauss on a 45 ton 'mech? Oh, my...

I recall some jokes about squeezing a Gauss (or a Long Tom) into a Flea with ballistic hardpoints (FLE-15).

Guys. SPELL CHECK. Please, for the love of Turkina. Too many of your press releases are unprofessional and unready for public consumption. I really, really don't want you to look bad. Just push F7 in Word and have people look things over.

Speaking of TRO... The BJ-1 is supposed to have lower arm actuators as well, unless my source is wrong...

Sorry, but it's wrong. Thankfully. ;)

You couldn't believe how much boating people can do just to get assured kill, even if it kills them afterwards.

I was hoping for the Vindicator in the 45 ton class, but i can deal with it. Now we have a "little JägerMechlet". ;)
The new look is great. I like it.

I doubt we'll get them all. BTW I'm still missing a Commando COM-1C with a ballistic hardpoint.

Maybe it's a oversight, I can't find this mech anywhere outside of RS3050 unabridged.
