1) LRM damage is being decreased *slightly*
2) The LRM trajectory has been fixed. It was a bug that cause the 90-degree drops on the top of your Mech.
3) The Artemis isn't LOSING the group tightening, it's just not going to be as tight. How much is it being reduced by? 5%.
4) It's not a 3rd person cockpit. It's the 1st person cockpit that gets drawn around your pilot. It would shift out of destroyed Mech when you spectate them in 3rd person.
Thanks for the clarity. I'm still a bit concerned with how these things were not noticed before patch deployment. Did this patch not see any internal play testing before being pushed out? I know everyone is clammoring for more content but we dont really need updates every week at the expense of quality control.

Why not?...
With the dmg on LRMs being lowered, and artemis spread being increased, and LRM arc being fixed, even with Tag/narc and Artemis, you'll just essentially end up with something that at worst is about where LRMs were before the patch.
Arguably that might be slightly OP but it was managable. And with the hot fix it will only be like that in moments where someone is Tagged, the LRM boat has line of sight, and artemis is equipped...that isn't to bad IMO. Actually might be less OP overall then before the patch.
Worlds better then what we have till they get it hot-fixed, and not really any worse then it was...and all that stuff still gets to remain useful in the game.
Win/win/win
If you know what the Artemis FC System is then you would know "why".
Its an "infrared laser designator and tight-beam microwave transmitterm fitted to each launcher" giving greater accuracy via direct line of sight to the target. It provides no benefit to indirect fire. TAG and NARC are different systems all together.
By keeping each system unique it allows for greater diversity. Artemis equipped LRM boats would need to expose themselves to get the benefit of Artemis - they need a direct line of sight to their target. Standard LRM boats, coupled with a scout equipped TAG or NARC, would be better suited for indirect fire- the scouts can target and the LRM boats can fire from cover.
You end up with distinct and unique systems. Making an "all in one" system makes no sense when considering balanced game play not to mention TT.
LRMs already due more damage then they should - regardless of Artemis their damage should be reduced as is. 1.5 sounds better to me but even 1.7 would be better then current.

The problem is PGI does not seam to read what everything does and how it works they just make **** up as they go. If they had made artemis LoS based we would not be having this its OP discussion. I'd even settle for a 20% range reduction when using it because the missiles carry it on them making them heavier therefor less range.

There's clearly something wrong when I take fall damage just walking over a little hill because I hit the ground at 130kph even though it's a 0.2m drop.
What, you have problems aiming at Jenners that fast?

Paul - I know nothing about you, but I really think you and your forum mods need to get a thicker skin. You can't honestly believe that the kind of amazingly obvious bugs getting through to the live game isn't embarrasing do you? Most of the garbage on these forums you have brought on yourself by releasing a game to open beta that really is nowhere close to being ready for it. When I say you - I don't mean you personally, I mean the company you work for.
You can ban me from the forums for speaking my mind, but watching was has unfolded over the past 2-3 months has me absolutely convinced that PGI as a company is in over their heads and really is just taking wild stabs in the dark. I'm sorry if that doesn't sit well with you, but if you look in the mirror and then look at the track record for this games development lately, you surely shouldn't be shocked.
im guessing you havent played many online games, i have. Wow had bugs that came out with patches all the time took they days to fix and servers down for long periods of time. Any game that has constant patches will have bugs that slip through. If you had a clue how programming works you would understand. have patience and let them fix it.
