It isn't in the TRO 3025 (3rd printing 1987). It is the House Liao sourcebook (pubished 1988), along with the Cataphract-1X. All the standard-tech versions are in TRO 3039 (published 2008), & the high-tech -3L appears in TRO 3050 (1990).

"During the Fourth Succession War, House Davion forces captured many Ravens as they slashed through the Capellan Confederation" (TRO 3039, p.224). I think the key word here is MANY. That's why the concept art is painted in AFFS colours.

Besides the House Book is was also featured in the TRO 3031 (1995), which was only released in Germany as far as I know.

I think the design looks good. Kudos to FD!

I do, however, have one critique:
Perhaps the model could be adjusted to have the same "droop-nose" characteristic of the Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde, Tupolev TU-144, and Fairey Delta 2?

The (single-position) "droop-nose" on a Raven could/would have the same design justification as that found on the above-mentioned aircraft - to improve pilot visibility with regard to terrain and ground-level objects ahead of the vehicle.
As an added bonus, it would also (IMO) bring a more bird-like appearance to the design (which enhances the justification for the name) and brings it closer to the appearance of the original TRO design while still retaining the FD/MWO aesthetic.

Your thoughts?

This is a nice looking Mech, gald it see it on the ground.

There is only one thing about this pitcure that gives me concerns. (I don't like the colour scheme on the nose, weapons and legs). I have always respected anyone who pilots a Raven. It takes true skill to run this mech and run it properly.

I am a Mercenary and I can respect the Davion/Fedcom emblem because they are an honorable IS house.

ERROR!!

Edited this post to make it a little more PC and a little less flame bait.

Becuase trying to render that in Cry Engine, would take up more valuable time, and not to mention, make some serious performance issues, unlike this one. Besides, it said so in the intro, this isn't your father's mechwarrior, they are trying to make this new art current, and I for one, approve. It's about time we got past the lastest Dark Age FUGLY art.

I get ya. We all love performance. The bend does not have to be curvelinear, I would be happy with one or two distinct linear adjustments.

Edit: Or if the slope had pitched downward at the cockpit screen.

Not a big fan of the art on this one, lot of things that have changed from the classic raven in form, just hope the full function is there in game

Better a Davion-color, than a liao-frog-green :P
