I am no fan of 3rd person view, but I sure as hell do not want you as my spokesperson, neither I want you to write silly letters in my name.

Please live your hero complex at the forums, but do not try to be our saviour elsewhere.

Too late to ask that..

Ah shoot, just looked at the concept. If MWO takes off, I will have a difficult time resisting the temptation to pick this thing up, assuming it actually goes to market. However, won't it bring in charges of Pay2Win by having an expensive controller? I used to hear that at LAN games when using my goggles in MW2 games.

uh pay2lose maybe, it's still a joystick.

I've not voted one way or the other on 3rd person view... so tone your attitude down a tad... I just find it incredibly arrogant of you to think that you speak for 90% of the Forum community... because "you had the courage" to write a letter to Razer... who as was pointed out to you, have NOTHING to do with making the game...

Anyhow... you enjoy you Napolean complex if you want to... I'm going to go back to watching how the game gets developed and adapting to whatever the Devs throw at us... mainly because I'm having way to much fun finally having a MechWarrior game being developed after all these years...

Oh... on a side note... after your "mishap" with the SWTOR peripherals you say you bought... you might want to take a lesson from that and oh... I don't know... WAIT before buying the Artemis and see if MW:O really is for you... then, having waited and made an intelligent decision, then purchase the controller if/when it is released...

Call me silly I know... sort of what I would do...

That was exactly the point of this letter by the way.
To wait before buying an expensive piece of hardware, and to finally ask questions on whether or not we should.

We still do not have any proof of the Artemis going to mass production.. unless i missed some vital information and then can someone be so kind and provide me with that...

All i see is the same old web page and the same images form the same press event...

I understand what you're saying Reoh.
Although, i will explain another reason why this letter needed to be sent.
There was a time, not long ago, when Razer released the whole peripherals for a certain game called Star Wars The Old Republic, i, myself bought the collectors edition of the game, and the special keyboard as well.

...

Yeah I played that too, and remember those peripherals. I considered them (briefly) but chose not to.

I suggested it was premature not because your concerns were invalid, but rather that the change wasn't yet indelible. In equal parts, I would also not desire to cause PGI potential issues which could distract them from developing the game; especially over a matter I yet have high hopes they will retract.

And there is a darn good reason why.
You know the answer to this one, as its flaming red on the forums since yesterday.
I am not a spokesperson, nor a saviour of any kind like some trolls are saying here.
I asked the question regarding this peripheral to Razer as 90% of us said no to 3rd person view.
Read the letter, its exactly what i said, and for a good reason, to also force PGI to finally answer us on this matter.
We spend money here, we need answers. And so far, there is none.

I can save PGI.
Make 3rd person a training mode on a target range.
Make lobbies.
Make VOIP for everyone ingame with mute ability for those who don't want it or want to shut up certain players.

There, I am your savior! Let the worshipping commence!

What, a lot of others ask for the same things? Nevermind...

They're not going to do more work on it, until PGI give confirmation that they'll keep the game the way it was originally intended. You do understand this, yes?

They've probably known about any third person plans for much longer than we have, or determined it's gonna be in the game.

I do not assume anything, i asked questions regarding 90% of us saying NO to 3rd person view implementation into MWO.
Again, we are spending real money here, we need the answers to our questions.
If you buy anything in a store, with a promise that the product will do this or that, but in the end, ended up with an useless item and doing absolutely nothing about it, not returning to the store with it, it's your choice.

That did not answer my question...

Any way i'l attach my example on how you could have the best of both worlds... Feel free to point out anything i missed

One way to do it is once the we get the ranking system (that is still part of phase 3 MM system) you could have the option open for rank say 1-5 (of for the sake of argument 100 scale) and after that it is disable for anything but friendly pre-made matches outside of the CW. That way you can still "warm" the newcommers up and get them familiar but without affecting the rest of the game. And you would give the people who like to make machianimas a better tool to do so.

I have listened to the whole 1h+ podcast yesterday, i know that PGI said that if we do not want 3rd person into MWO, they would "probably not implement it" But as a Razer customer myself, if i am to buy this expensive controller, and you will agree my friend, i need like most of us, to be 100% sure that this game will REMAIN an FPS. Period.

Can you be absolutely 100% certain that a meteorite will not fall on you tomorrow, rendering you permanently incapable of playing MWO from any perspective and with any controller?

No you can't.

But I would say the assessment that it "probably won't happen" would be good enough to base your future plans on, nay?

And i ask again.. give me proof of this... a letter..a press release... anything... Why is that so hard... Snälla Vassago... Det är inte kärnfysik direkt...

You do assume. You want and are speaking for the 90%+ in your own words. If you worded it differently like another poster has suggested I don't think you would be getting some of the responses you are. Unless you're an elected official you only speak for yourself, or whoever else agreed with adding their name to a letter.

OP, seriously...

I really hope, i really, really hope you did not think you would speak for the whole community.
Because you are one, illiterate, juvenile and spineless meat sack not worth to ride anything made of steel.

Go back to ride a wooden pony whine about it being full of splinters, and uninstall this game while at it.
------------------------------------------------------------

I rarely lose my temper, but your _letter_ to razer, not only possibly compromised PGI's relations with them, but also made us, as a community look bad.

Wait for things to happen. do not ASSUME that something happens because someone thought out loud about possibilites of it, and throwing accusations in the air.

I'am not sure you have invested a single dime in this game so far, and i seriously dont think you ever will.
-i have, and i want to see this game succeed without s**t flinging apes like you.

have a nice day.

To rest of you: sorry if i have offended someone else than OP. you are more than welcome to send me private "feedback" about it.

Some of you can have the chance to throw big chunk of money left and right with no real concern about your wallet, buying expensive founder pack at 60$ or 100%, spending on a lot of MCs etc etc.
For you, of course it won't be a big deal whether or not nothing is clear, and no real answers is provided, but for a lot of us, working everyday with average salaries spending money here, and also planning to buy an expensive controller for the game we love, CAN be a big deal.

That is why i asked PGI and also Razer to be clear on those questions.

Why would anyone consider buying this when the game is far from complete?

If this resembled a more complete game with functioning electronics, a full / close to complete mech stable, more modes and maps, I could understand.

But hey, it's your money, waste it how you want.

No it's ok, and i will answer.
I spent on MCs, i also spent on 30 days premium time, and on 2 mechs.
I also bought PC gamer mag for the skin and coconut head.

It is maybe not a LOT of money like you guys with big expensive founder packs, i know, and i will be honnest, i wanted one myself as well, but i was too late to get founder.

But you know what?
I do believe now, the more i see how things are going, that i am probably the lucky one, not getting founder pack.
We'll see...
That is precisely why i ask questions to PGI and Razer. And i am not shy stirring things up about it.

Razer och PGI vill inte kommunicera med folk, men dom behöver inte göra det för att man ska förstå just hur mörka deras planer är. (translation: Razer and PGI are not communicating with people, but you they do not need to for one to realize their dark plans)

Vi har revolt på forumet nu, om du har missat det.

Ok.. so you are just making stuff up then... Good to know. Not that you are helping the poor OP who could actually have need a good supporter.
