You edited this post from what it was so I'll also reply to this one.

I agree. Next time read the posts in order and realize that someone was sticking up for the non founders crowd.

And also read what I personally wrote on this subject. The only thing I have issue with is the part where you speak for the community at large. See? It's the great bit ginormous things like not reading that makes things non-constructive.

I like that you wrote them a letter. I hate that you stated you're speaking for the whole community.

I do not speak for the community at large.
I spoke for, and read the entire letter, 90% of US who said NO to 3rd person view in MWO.
Unless you're saying we're all nut cases, they voted NO, and NO means NO.

My personal Letter To Razer.

Greetings to you at Razer! Today i have a very big question for you. I am writing to you on the behalf of the Mechwarrior Online Community, as you may or may not have heard about the extremely big fuss turning around this game and PGI (Devs) since yesterday.

This is your personal letter to Razer, you said it. It represents your opinion, not necessarily the opinion of the community.

I am part of this community and I do not feel represented by you nor by the style of your letter.
Do not speak for me please!

I don't get this thread at all.

It sounds a bit like the OP is upset because the sky is blue and he's not sure if it'll be blue tomorrow so he wrote a letter to Ford on behalf of airline pilots to see if they have any comments on the 2014 Ford Focus' design in regards to the sky being red or blue tomorrow.

Is that close?

There are some awesome flight sticks, and setups out there. If they just put in non binary movement and added some multi monitor MFD setup you would only be limited by your ingenuity and imagination.

I will tell you something.
If i can stay inside my mech as intended 1st, if i can play in 1st person mode without being forced to go to a 1st person room to play only with 1st person users. i'll be more than happy.

But honestly, i didn't come here to play a 3rd person game, i have plenty of these already.
I came here to get the real Mechwarrior experience, as a pilot inside my Mech.
And i will, again, quote PGI before you all got your founder packs:

" "we want the player to feel they are not just the mech, they are the pilot inside the mech"

I think the fallacy of it all was dragging Razer and their pretty much vaporware stick in to it.... instead of just posting your fears in the pinned thread. You opened your self to a lot of critic based on A: Claiming to talk for the community (you should really never do that unless you are a voted spokesperson) B: Trying to get Razer to strong-arm PGI with the threat of the loss of one customer to a stick they have yet to release.. if ever.

Now sending a mail to Razer was in it self not a bad idea, not that they will read or care the slightest. But it is your right as a consumer... Posting it here was just not needed.

Don't worry, i will also post their reply on what they have to say about it.
I am waiting for it as we speak :P

I bet you 50 CBills it will be along the lines of "we have noted your concern and thank you for the interest in the Razer Artemis"

What % of players do you think actually are regulars on forums? It is a small percentage for every game. I see this same sort of thing on every gaming forum. Even if 90% of 5% of players hate it, that still leaves 95%+ unaccounted for. Forums are where the diehard minority scream at each other about a game.

Because i am the only one to go further, and because i have to guts to ask questions and answers to businesses, i do not have any backings? Wrong my friend, i ask questions on behalf of 90% of us all who said NO to 3rd person and we demand answers now on what PGI will finally do with this game, once and for all. Period.

I don't want you to speak for me either, though I think that 3rd person view is not necessary I surely would not drop the game if this OPTION would become available. So send the message for yourself or ask people who can actually be part of your letter.

LMAO, you know what? Sadly i think you're 100% right on this one.
You know there's always that quote saying: "There is always hope"
so i'm hoping for more elaborated answers on their part.
I wish for something constructive on whether or not will the Artemis be release, and if so, will we be able to use it as intended, for a cockpit view immersive 1st person experience.

We'll see.

Razer has nothing to do with this game. They are simply making a controller to use. If you don't want to use it because of 3rd person, that's up to you. Why would you ask Razer to lean on PGI, when they have no power over them? It's silly. Also, you don't speak for me. I voted no, and I still don't want you speaking for me. You sir, need to stop. You're making a fool of yourself.

Edit: wording

The controllers show are the Thrustmaster Warthog, which goes for 450.00
http://www.amazon.co...0/dp/B00419ZUXS
and the sitek x52 pro which goes for 150
http://www.amazon.co...ywords=X+52+pro
There are tons of cockpit setups out there, just google flight sim cockpit. Their usefulness is really based upon the sim they run. Things like the functionality of a MFD and toggel swtiches are highly dependent on the sim allowing that level of customization. Microsoft Flight sim was really the leader in this field for a long awhile but the flight sim franchise was killed off in 2009 there really isn't anything new that you would get full use of a system like the one pictured above.

I know you voted no man, good for you, you defended your point like 90% of us, if you changed your mind, or choking on your word, you can always change your vote back, it is possible to do so.

On a more serious note, i didn't speak for you at all, but regarding the poll, 90% of us who said no to 3rd person view, and aksed Razer, as i was, like others as well, seriously considering buying that controller which by the way has been made for an immersive experience as a "Cockpit" controller and not to play a lame 3rd person view game.
Thank you buddy.

Let me rephrase: you are speaking for the 90%+ of the community who said no. That is the issue.

I don't think you understand. I said NO to the 3rd person view. So you did, in fact speak for me, when I didn't ask you to.

I asked Razer the exact same question we all voted NO at 90% here on that poll.
Are they gonna release the Artemis if the game goes 3rd person crap.
Thats it. Again if you do not like your vote, go ahead and change it, its not too late.
But if not, then don't go into public polls voting, as it becomes public once you do.
You voted no, you are part of the 90% Period.

I have gotten alot of laughs about this post so far!! KEEP IT UP !!! I meen really the asumptions are AWSOME!!... one assumes he speeks for 90% of an assumed 5% of players lol Others actually assume he sent the letter in the first place. LOL you try and discredit the OP while assuming he actually sent any letter at all. LOVE IT !! Well I assume this post was to try and get PGI's attention on an assumed issue that hasnt been defined by PGI. I also assume that Razer could care less about a letter on a prototype controller assuming a letter was sent.

Lets assume more!! I Assume that 3rd person mode will be a camera mode only with no cross hairs and no ability to mouse around to look behind you. I assume the zoom in and out will be minimal and mearly a way to see cool paint jobs on our mechs. I'm also assuming you will have less than a 90 degree frontal view from slightly above and behind the top of the mech. How do you like those assumptions?

GREAT thread !! i love kneejerk reactions to off hand comments about possabilitys of the future of the FRANCHISE lol I assume you listened to the podcast? or am i assuming too much? lol :P
