Before you nerf the Gauss to unplayable, stop what you are currently thinking, cool off for a week or two then make your changes to the gauss

But on PPC's

Yes

and

Yes

to both ?'s

It won't nerf the gauss into unplayable, because people still need to kill your armor.
It doesn't, however, do anything about the gausscats, since the problem there is you can't really hit the side torsos.

Though it's not a nerf to gauss over all just making it easier to destroy, the AC\20 already seems to be like this so I don't see the issue

Guass' Rate of fire is not changing, its not getting any more heat and its not doing less damage.

Its HP is being reduced which means its easier to destroy. Which is ok considering it dose not explode for 20 pnts of dmg when you destroy. Just get over it.

It might well be the higher odds of the Gauss detonating (which honestly, it should be when crit-destroyed, every time) that he's talking about.

I see much goodness in there. Projectile velocity increases for the AC/10 and 20? YAY.

The Gauss Rifle has always been a fragile weapon. Even in TT, just hitting the weapon would make it explode doing an instant 20 damage.

Too bad there are no dates specified. Without either dates or it being actually implemented successfully I wouldn't be waving my arms in happiness.

Guess is the superior choice for ballistics right now. No one weapon should be the superior choice. I think it's fine that they balance with things like internal HPs instead of only using damage/RoF/Heat etc.

Also the AC buffs looks about right.

And the PPC looks like too little too late, but hopefully if they do higher speed plus less heat plus EMP effect then they will be decent.

And this is precisely how it should be in MWO, Paull- although "hit" in MWO terms = item HP zeroed.

I thought Gauss had 10hp, like every other weapon?

Currently it has zero chance to explode, right?

I would like to comment on the "Special effect when you are hit by a PPC that is similar to EMP" this should only be applied when hit with 2 or more PPCs at a time; PPC~ "Targets hit by multiple, simultaneous PPCs can also suffer electrical side-effects, such as overloaded computer systems or targeting sensors".

And I'm glad to see that MGs will finally be getting a damage boost I just hope they're the same as the TT's values.
