Torso-Leg Vector Confusion

solution:
change the c key from center torso to your legs to center your legs to your torso.
this little change will help everyone to quik align there mechs in the way they want to.
striking the c key will than instantly remove any confusion about alignment and allow you to simply move into the direktion you are looking.
you look around to find a escape route, you see one and striking c will automaticly allign your mech correctly.
easy to implement , not gamebreaking, no 3rd person needed

That change alone would match the torso centering onto the legs.

If that was a toggle or a separate bind I would use that thing all the time.

the reason for the suggestion is to offer a simple solution to a problem the gamedevelopers see.
the dev´s thinking of implementing a 3rd person view to fix what they think is a problem.
the players dont want that and i was simply presenting a fix that seves both.
the devs make the orientation easyer for the new players and the players wont get the 3rd person they dont want.
the makers of this game think there is a problem and they WILL implement a fix. our resposibility is to think about a fix that wont ruin OUR game experiance.
statements like : they have to learn the game like we did are posibly tru or not but wont get us any closer to a solution.
ask yourselfe:
will the implementation of a align legs to torso key ruin your game experiance?
will sayd implementation make the allignment of the 2 components of a meck easyer for new players?
i think the answers will be no, yes, so why do you oppose the introduction of such a key function?

i think OP's idea is great, or as others state, make it an option. We were here to test the game in beta, and this factor is one, that slipped through closed beta, because 9/10 people playing in the closed beta were people who are playing mechwarrior titles for years and are USED to the concept. Why not make it a bit easier for new people? Besides, as far as i remember, at least MW4 HAD this option

If it's made an option, great, but I would be most would end up setting to adjust the legs to the torso.

And no, I don't agree with Russ that 3rd person view is the salvation and solution. 3rd person game is not mechwarrior anymore, it just becomes a shooter with robots. What the game needs is gentler learning curve, preferrably achieved by ingame tutorial in a sandbox/training area, where the newbie can learn controls without stress of battle and getting killed all the time. Because nobody reads manuals and views tutorial videos - they just jump into the game and want to play.

so, build a bloody training ground, and dont break the bloody game and a KEY DESIGN PILLAR because some players, who, by the way, are phantasms that never seem to post in the numbers RUSS suggests or else we would have HELPED them.

oh yes, i am all for playable trainign grounds, but still, this doesn't clarify to me, why we shoudl not have a key to center legs to torso, when most other mechwarrior games had it - i didn't use those keys ever, but still.
btw. the picture you posted:
It is nicely done and a kind idea, but it also shwos the problem, there is TONS of information on the screen and new players ARE overwhelmed by that. Of course they need to learn to deal with it as any of us had to, but again: i think a simple key to help them isn't wrong at all.
