^^^^^^

People have received invites.

I would wager that they are done giving out keys for the day, considering they only likely sent out a couple hundred or less.

It does make since that they would start at the "A's" first and my name starts with an "O" so I wouldn't get in on the first day even if I was selected.

If they are doing that then I wish I only had to wait for O.

You know whats sad? Starcraft 2 Friends and Family beta? Never bothered to install it. Same with Diablo 3.

But now when a beta finally comes around that I do want to play... I check my email like a kid on christmas morning. :)

That fearful moment where you look back at filling in the questionnaire, thinking did I say yes to the NDA question or no since I was in such a hurry.

Is there a reason I keep wanting to press the big yellow button up there? Like I'm forcefully gonna change it to green or something!

But it still says pending and not rejected.

There is no "rejected" status, only the perennial wait for "pending". :)

I filled out the profile, again.

Just in case I am getting rickrolled by PGI again, I thought this summed things up well...

This is getting bad. I loaded into WoT and I can swear that when I looked at the 'Ready' button, it said, "Pending." On second glance, everything was fine.

I have not yet (hope hope wink wink) seen the NDA for PGI, however the Turbine, Cryptic, Trion and Bioware NDA's forbid disclosure of beta participation. I would be willing to bet The PGI NDA has that claus as well.

You can say you were invited to the beta, if you decline the NDA. Once you sign the NDA, you break it if you disclose participation. I declined an NDA for Trion's newest MMO today (by way of example), RTS is not my thing, and I am crossing my fingers for a PGI NDA. Won't have time for both anyway.

BioWare's NDA (for SW:TOR, at least) did allow for disclosure of being in the beta...but nothing else. Caused lots of posts about there being a lightsaber testing club with each beta wave. EA's NDA for Wrath of Heroes was the same way (minus the lightsabers, of course). It seems that for some games the Developer/Publisher are good with the "I'm in beta" disclosures..probably as a way to keep publicity on the fact that beta is ongoing... FunCom just did the same with their Secret World beta...

Realistically though, what's important is what is in PGI's NDA, which doesn't seem to allow disclosure of being in the PPC testing club. Still hopeful for an invite to the club though.

Did the Bioware NDA allow that, or did they relax the NDA? My memory may be faulty here, but I recall in the early days of the SWTOR beta (so let down by that release) that it was forbidden, but then again I could be wrong.

Likewise this is a beta that I have waited far far too long for.... Damn you Steve Ballmer and your Microsoft dumb (down) sizing. That man would not pass up a chance to loose a dollar to save a penny.

Roughest NDA I've seen was for Americas Army. While everyone knew you were in the beta because of your beta tag, it was the only NDA I've signed that could lead to criminal prosecution if they wanted. It was a standard DoD NDA.

Agreed, though the NSA one is about as tough I hear, have only signed/read the DoD one for the Govt myself though.
