Hi guys excuse the use of the word "premium" maybe I should have said founder mech. But in a lot of MMO's ok hell you all know I'm talking about World of Tanks of tanks. The deal was that beta testers in WoT were awarded premium tanks that are now quite rare in game.

Any chance of this?

Of course it would help if I had a beta key first eh.

Good work you guys and thanks for rekindling my childhood mech fantasies.

Phenom II temp was better than the first generation and some of the CPU's were very very good.
If your case wont allow a big air cooler have you looked at the enclosed liquid coolers? As long as your case has a rear fan they should fit something like a corsair H60 would save you head room above the CPU.

Looks promising, but I have only 60mm fan on rear side. Well, I have Zalman 9500 atm, but radiator almost touches the lid. Hope it will be able to manage phenom II. Or I still can move to Core i5 2500 or something - heat ouput is 95W acording to specs (but I prefer AMD still tbh).

In my opinion the will probably let you keep that which you earn through the Beta testing period. Weapons, Mech's and experience. Though I wouldn't rule out a chance at a Founder's Mech. But what do I know? I am just some poor schlub dying to play the game.

Founder's mechs are only being given out if you purchase the $60 or $30 founder's package. http://mwomercs.com/...ation-inception check out this link for details.

EDIT: Fixed the prices - its late :o

$30 for veteran, $60 for elite, no $80 package. just the 2.

just so no one complains at me, here is what I mean, i have increased the size of the points that matter for this.

$60 ELITE Founder's Package Includes:
  • Exclusive custom "Founder's BattleMech." This 'Mech includes a lifetime, per-match C-Bill booster.
  • $80 value of in-game currency* for in-game item purchases.
  • Two-month premium account to MechWarrior Online at launch: Earn XP & C-Bills faster.
  • Founder's Tag - sets your status apart from the crowd & get noticed in-game and on the forums.
  • Early access to the game along with Founder's assets availability starts July 17th.

hope this fixes the slight error from Mota's post.

And I concur with Rejarial. The press release states that you have to purchase the bragging rights. But those sneaky devolper's can do whatever they want. Granted I would spend the money for the Elite Founder's package even if I were to get into the Beta. I am crazy like that.

This thread makes me feel bad about my computer. Oh well, at least it'll run on low settings. It's not like I haven't played with 16 fps before :o.

I will happily settle for some cosmetic bonuses or the beta tester tag on my forum profile.......hell I just want to play the game, don't need any free goodies but it never hurts to ask right?

In the long run $60 is not a high price to pay for what they include in the package. The mech is nice but the added bonuses of $80 worth of virtual funds plus two months of premium access pays for itself in one blow. But yeah, I still want the mech :o

I certainly hope they don't. Should they say they are giving beta testers free mechs two things will happen. First people will join beta to get the free mech. This is bad in that these extra beta people are not there to test, they probably won't help with finding problems and reporting them. Secondly anyone who doesn't get into beta, that applied, will feel cheated and complain. I'm good with beta testing for a better game. The fact that you get a preview of the game before release should be more than enough reward for the extra bit of effort it takes to be a tester.

Well, that beta tester tank from beta was painfully useless, i remember me selliing it with satiscaftory smile on my desperate face. The same for A-32, though ... pity the wargaming made the premium low tier tanks so useless.

But some premium mech, or just a badge for participating the beta, that would be nice.

Very important clarification needed here. The announcement says that July 17th is when Founders get into Closed Beta. All well and good. The question that is NOT answered however is this: Will there be a character wipe after Closed Beta and before release? This question is incredibly important.

The only thing I can state for sure at this point is that from July 17th onward there will no longer be any data wiping.
