Like most of the updates, but I would prefer a darker background :)

Yes, I am sorry but the new back ground is super distracting. I would even go as far as to say it damages the usability of the site.

The lack of contrast with the content makes it eye straining.

Maybe have an enter screen with a nice back ground "click here to enter" but once you are in the site proper the background is black as before.

I dislike backgroun as much does, i prefer none at all, but wich most disgust me is the new colored items mounted in the mech, colored letters could be much better but those colors whit that white text its hard to look at, give them their grey background again and colour text if you realle think its a need to state wich kind of weapon is each (i think its completely unnecessary).

Remember, KISS, a simple and plain layout its much better than a overloaded one with colours and images. trust me, previous one was perfect, i have spent hours tuning mechs there, actual has become uncomfortable just in a pair minutes of use yet.

New arrangement of menus and advices seems ok to me, try to keep in mind usability over all, things are beautier the most usable they are. :-) good work anyway keep on with it, (but forgot about images and colours XD)

For ECM, instead of "Present" or "Missing" (Missing kinda implies it must be added or something went wrong), why not just use "Installed" and "Not Installed" or something like that.

Do you need to add the new sensor range module effects on to the module stats (detecting ecm at greater distances)?

Also, would be nice for the pilot modules to have hover tool tips like the equipment does.

I know it's a lot of work to update after a patch.

As ever, great site.

btw I like the new coloured weapons :P

I think the hover tool tips for crit seeking weapons is still wrong /confusing.

To quote Thontor:

Quote

Seems they aren't correct though. For one thing, your tooltip a say "14% chance to do (one crit), 8% chance to do (two crits), 30% chance to do (three crits)" yeah, 30%... For the MG and Flamer that is. The LB 10-X says 3% for three

Anyways, those numbers are wrong... The 14/8/3 numbers are "additional" crit chance, on top of the normal 25/14/3. Making the total crit chance for them 39/22/6

Sorry I got my post split over two posts.

I just think that if you did not know how this game worked and you hovered over those tool tips you would be confused as hell.

Like it, no background and less intense but still clearly visible item coloring.
Id just make the upper toolbar background a little darker.

Well Smurfy, remember the Golden Rule we programmers should be pointed - whenever possible, make a feature optional.
In short words - a simple checkbox in the 'Tools' menu "Show background image" will solve all issues and will fit all personal preferences. That setting should be stored in someone's registered profile, and be unchecked by default for these who aren't registered.

But I'd like to say it'd more convienient when you choose a chassis to design to set at the beginning maximum armor value for it.Right now additional click in Tools "Max armor" is required, though it could be avoided.

He already removed the background, or at least it doesn't show for me, so I have no idea what the tears are about. Aww. :D

I quite liked the background image, although the smoking 'mech bent over ready to receive whatever the victor saw fit to give him kind of reminded me of the fate my design will invariably suffer. The colored weapons are good IMRO, you can of course always test with different colors and slight variations. I would go so far as to say you could add color to heat sinks and other equipment (light blue for sinks, a huge warning text if you're loading single sinks, flashing red for ECM and Streaks if you're loading them both on a 'mech etc.).

Coming soon :D along with some further color tweaks.
It's kinda hard to get the colors right though, everyone seems to like something else..

Hi,

here is my Mechwarrior Online Reference Site:

http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/

You will find up2date stats and information about battlemechs, weapons, ammo, equipment and modules.

There is also a online Mechlab with the abiliy to share your favorite Loadouts with your friends.

http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab

All Data is directly parsed from Gamefiles, which means up2date data. After each patch there is a small manual process but the new stats should be available within a couple of hours after the patch.

I really appreciate your feedback.

For a quick reference i provide a cheat sheet for Battlemechs and Weapons. For more stats and information please visit the site.

LOVE the site. Liked the background. My opinion only, of course.

Thank you so very, very much.

Adding or Removing a Flamer doesn't seem to affect the Cooling Efficiency, neither does adjusting it's slider in the Weapon Lab.

It would be nice if the ammo tab only showed the ammo that can be used on the weapons that can be fit on the 'mech. Of course you can load extra LRM ammo in your laserboat just for the fun of it in game, but... Hm perhaps it would be best to have an option for "show only ammo suitable for the variant" or even "show only ammo for the weapons equipped".

I have better idea - highlight fit ammo type by some color.

Ammo coloring comming with the next update
Filter Ammo by equiped weapons is a todo but will be optional, because its possible that there are people out there which want to add ammo first.
I'm also working on a browse with filter method for loadouts.(will take a bit more time)

well, the flamer is a bit problematic.. some testing is required to figure out how exactly it behaves heat-wise.

Or simply both ^_^
Color coding for the ammo you can currently use and also an optional filter to only display the ammo you can currently use.
