Once Artemis is enacted, the extra tons are not shown for the srms.

Just checked, works for me, tested with lrm 15, srm2, srm4 and srm6.
If i toggle artemis on/off i gain or loose 3 tons (tested with ddc).

What browser do you using?

Hi
I was fitting a Jenner 7D with your online mechlab today. Sorry, can't remember my favorite fitting. Your mechlab counts the full weight (35 tons). But inside the game I could not load all the stuff because of weight problems..
Now I am trying this fitting: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...a5e337f2cb84d7a
It counts 34.1 tons in your mechlab (0.86 free).. and 34.2 tons ingame. Ok, this is not a problem with this fitting.. but a difference.
Looks like wrong armor weights?! Or maybe just rounding issue..
BTW: Very nice online mechlab, I love it !

Thank you for this amazing and awesome tool!
Mechlab is perfect, I can not think of a single feature that would make it better...
Keep up the good work!

Hey Smurfy, first off I just want to say thank you for the EXCELLENT fitting tool. It does pretty much everything I could want. I have one suggestion for the 'Weaponlab' portion though.

A "time to overheat" display would be an extremely valuable thing to know. The formula would be simple:

timeToOverheat = heatCapacity/(heatGeneration-headDissipated).

The heatCapacity factor could also take into account a base heat value to compensate for heat from the engine, or residual heat from plinking away with various weapons before you decide to go balls-out.

Since there's a crapton of posts in here and I don't have time to sift through them all, I'm just going to leave this suggestion here. If it's been brought up, I'm sorry. Thanks for reading!

Love the site Smurfy!

I just bought an Atlas AS7-RS. Your mechlab states that it has 19 missile tubes (15+4).

But when I fire my LRM15, it comes out in 3 5-missile volleys.

That matches the image on the website:

Hey Smurfy, I love the site and use it all the time! Thanks a million.

A few quick suggestions:
  • A function under tools to evenly distribute remaining tonnage as armor (under the tools dropdown) would be very handy. The logic is a bit wonky, but I don't think it should be that bad to implement and it could save a lot of time.
  • Would it be possible to note how many external heat sinks each sub-250 engine requires and warn when insufficient heat sinks are included in the design? I know the heatsink number turns red, but a few of my friends have missed that and built illegal mechs.
  • Finally, PLEASE consider putting an AdSense box on your site or something. I disabled ABP and didn't see any ads, and you deserve to be compensated for the service you're doing for this community, beyond donations.
Thanks again!

i will play around with an option like this, but i dont promise i will add something like that. this definitvly needs a prio system

currently there is the red thing, and if you save the loadout there is a warning

not sure about that, i myself use ABP too because i dislike ads :P i'm also dont want make money with this site. if someone likes it they just should donate (and some do. thanks for that)

i will readup on adsense but if i ever add this only to the frontpage, not the mechlab.

i´m logging in and after clicking on "mechlab" i´m logged out again. if i login again. i will be on the start site then i click on mechlab and i´m logged out again.

or i´m loggin in (no error message) and after the login i´m again on the frontpage but logged out.

as you can see on the first screen i´m logged in:

on the second i selected the highlander HM for the mechlab. i got that bug and i´m logged out
if i select another mech for example the 4sp i´m only logged out but can modify the mech in a normal way.

Feature request: Time till Shutdown.
I find the % to be bland. It doesn't tell me how many Alphas I can expect before shutdown.

Time till Shutdown: Fire all weapons continuously starting from heat 0 on a neutral map till overheat.

Easy calculation would use average heat per second.
Fancy calculation would simulate weapons fire and look for a heat spike that takes you over.

I finally have a feature suggestion:
now that have added "Time to overheat" (It's great!).
Could you also add:
1) Damage before overheat (Same as "time to overheat", but, list damage instead of time)
2) Map temperature (so, I can see how I preform in the desert vs ice maps)

Once again, thank you for an awesome tool! ....I use it almost every day! :D

Edit: DISREGARD THE FOLLOWING POST.
Smurfy was right, I had a ton of Gauss ammo in the head that I forgot about. Great.. err.. customer service? by SmurfyNet!

Build on, my fellow MechWarriors.

The values might be off, check these out, I can't figure out if I built the smurfy one wrong, but:

Never had any complaints about the smurfy mechlab, and this isn't big, I'll definitely keep using it. Tons of fun to mess around in

*edit: the left leg is exactly like the right leg in the MWO pic.

1. good idea
2. i dont know the temperature of the maps, only a not useable string like "60C"

Please tell me is there any way to update my mech variant saved in mechlab? Or should I delete the variant from mechlab and then add updated one?

Statistics would be interesting. First I would prefer to have a classification for builds, something like "High performance", "Regular" and "Marginal" with "Special" and "Full ******" to describe specialities such as poptarts, hexastalkers and 9 flamer hunchbacks. With this info you could start getting data such as for example "your heat efficiency (42%) is higher than 48% of the high performance builds" or "your maximum dps of 2.4 is lower than 78% of full ****** builds".

If you have single heat sinks and are not equipping an ECM commando the "high performance" option isn't available and if you are equipping ECM and streaks or jump jets and PPC/Gauss in the same build it will automatically be labeled "Douche".

Oh. How about also including coolant flush effects in the weapons lab? And fluffy dice. Definitely fluffy dice.

These are fantastic. I'm glad we still have a resource this extensive since Ohm's stuff is no longer up to date.

If I had any requests, it'd be related to the Battlemech's quick-sheet:
  • I'd love for it to be available on the site so I don't have to find it on the forums everytime i need it
  • I'd love for it to be formatted for easy printing, probably splitting the light/medium and heavy/assault groups into two pages
  • A PDF version would be killer
  • A version that included the torso/arm twist stats from the site would also be huge when it comes to frames like the Trebs, which have different ones according to model
Just my thoughts. Again, it's a tremendous resource as is.
