How often does this issue occur?
Has happened twice since the latest patch (none previously). Initially uncommon (every 5-10 matches). Played about two hours worth of matches and haven't seen it since the second incident (watch though, that bug will mark my words in a future match! =P).
Does this occur on a specific map or any map?
Forest Colony: 1

More Details
As others have may mentioned in the thread (adding my confirmations/observations here):
- Yellow grain filter is retained throughout pilot loadout screen & into the match.
- HUD elements (weapon groupings, heat, etc.) are not visible
- While 'tab'bing to show the scores, yellow grain layer disappears and reveals normal map colours
- Chat text is unaffected
- Night/Heat vision still exhibits yellow grain layer

thermal, night, shutdown toggled in various order did not fix the problem

I could still access all my sub-screens (battlegrid, team roster, chat, esc menu) and controls responded normally, just... no HUD, and the yellow "signal interference" filter. While I was in a sub-screen, the filter vanished just as the HUD does normally.
I'm not sure if this is related, but: I think I was a late joiner to the match. Instead of the usual "waiting for pilots" time and the countdown, the client loaded me into the map and I was immediately unlocked and able to operate.
Since the yellow filter is a normal occurrence as the game's visuals "cycle" through various spectra (pay attention; it flashes by briefly every time you load into a map), I wonder if there's a link between the error and loading into a match the instant the match actually starts. Anyone else correlate?

- Occurred once in about 15 drops last night- nothing you can do to clear it. Its the same screen that appears when I overheat and shutdown which would normally clear when you power back up. Tried to power off/on, alt+tab out and back in, heat vision, night vision, nothing worked to clear reset it.

- Happened on caustic valley
- What are your basic system specs? (OS, CPU, GPU, RAM)
- Win 7 64bit premium, i7 3.4ghz, Radeon 7870 2GB RAM, 12 GB system RAM

When it occurred: when loaded into the match

* No hud elements will appear on the screen
* Still able to move around
* Still able to use weapons, minus targeting cross hair/arm targeting circle
* Unable to tell friend from foe.
