I would say Jenner. Look at the weapons. 4xML and a SRM4.

JR7-D according to the damage readout on the bottom left HUD

And Zyne, they don't have any mechs with PPC implemented. :D

Well the Katapult K-2 is confirmed. I don't have Closed Beta access so I can't confirm if it is in the game yet. But it has PPCs.

Also, what is that "auto detect" at the bottom left part of the screen? :D

Says there is "no signal". It's probably still not working in game, as there is many enemies to get a signal from, I'd suppose.
Unless it's a damaged component.

Interesting... JR7-D Jenner is displaying targetting data including damage and weapons loadout for the JR7-F, indicating it has scout modules equipped... I see we will also be able to see the callsign of a targeted enemy, which was an old question on the forums. What is confusing me is that I see two enemy and two friendly targets on the HUD, but four enemy and two friendly targets on the map display. I notice two red diamonds on the compass display, which may be NLOS targets, but from the positions displayed on the topographical map display I'd expect those to be visible... Am I reading the display correctly?

I didn't see any notification that the enemy Jenner has Scout modules... where is that?

That Jenner were in has 4 ML and an SRM4 with 4 tons of ammo. (lots of 25) runs 6/9 or 109.8kph (an engine downgrade) 4.0T of armor and a poor Heat profile? wth?

I think I am confoosed :D

P.S. Did we ever figure out what that BAR was beside the Speedometer??

You know, by looking at the screenshot, you don't get the feeling that they were in battle.

The friendly Atlas and Jenner are looking at the jumper as well as the enemy Catap.

I think they were POSING for the screenshot!

I doubt it. If they were posing for this screenshot they wouldn't have included a bug (dead mech showing up on radar).

So awesome!!! Can't wait to jump in and try it out. I really love the cockpit design. The floating HUDs look great and keep the field of view nice and open.

Just to make a quick point I'm not going to start a thread over, I don't think I like the thick GOLD line on top and bottom of the virtual HUD.
Hopefully you guys can tweak that a bit, to something not so pronounced. Your trying to show a border and make the 3d pop, I get it, but maybe some sort of small gradient or subtler approach. It's too hard/bright, and kind of kills the immersiveness of the real cockpit in my eye.

Also, can't say I like the idea of filtering everything in the viewing angle because the virtual hud is up. That smoky filter, a shader filter I presume, hopefully can be tweaked, again maybe a gradient (smoky top and bottom clearer in the center view area, maybe). Some people may like all the colors dulled/greyed by the filter, kind of giving it a harder feel maybe, rather have the clarity myself.

I'm actually hoping it's feasible to go with no virtual hud, just get used to the readout on a particular mech and know where the proper instrument panels are. Having one constantly superimposed over another is something I am having a tough time getting my head around. It's cluttered somewhat. I'm hoping that will be practical to turn off the virtual hud for full immersivensss, I just don't know if the viewing angle will be there for all the panel readouts in the cockpit.

I think the bar at the top is their way of making the fluffed "180-Degree Bar," since, if you notice, east and west aren't exactly 180 degrees apart, so the target indicators are a little compressed, too. That's going to take some getting used to...

.... Huh?

How does a bug in the game have anything to do with whether the players had a shot taken of them in battle vs. posing?

Looks like things are well on their way to coming together in to a finished product ready to suck my free time, money, and marital bliss away faster than an industrial vacuum taking out a pile of sawdust. I can't wait to get my hands on this game. Looks like it's time to convince the wife that I really do need those two extra monitors and several hundred bucks of HOTAS setup. Hold a second, I need to go find a drool bib...

Now that that's solved... I just can't get over how beautifully rendered the world is, and how amazing the mechs look stomping around the environment. This will give piloting a mech a sense of realism, of weight and tactile immersion, we haven't been able to get close to in the past. I've never been more excited about a title in my 25 years of gaming that is for sure!

As for the comment(s) about the motion blur and wanting to turn it off, I'd say wait and see. Motion blur is a very useful and immersing graphical effect and one the CryEngine (especially CryEngine 3) does very well. I concede that at times it can be over done, especially when talking about walking or running speeds, but that mech is moving ant 109.8 kph (68 mph) at that level of speed motion blur is appropriate to a certain level. One thing to remember is that motion blur translates to still shots very poorly, looking merely like unfocused portions of the screen, the effect is much better when in motion. Not all that surprising I guess given what it is.
