Is the game where we want it to be yet? no. Are they working on it? yes, actively. Is it still free? yes.

Thanks for updating the game and offering a promo on MC purchases! Keep up the great work guys, I happily bought a founder's pack and feel great about supporting this awesome (unfinished) game!

If you don't want to spend any money, that's fine, this game is F2P last I checked, but please keep your whining to a reasonable level, there are quite a few of us who feel the game is coming along nicely and is on track and what we want to play. If you hate it, just go find another F2P game, I think most of the Battletech fans appreciate what Piranha and IGP are doing here.

I actually don't mind them running a Black Friday promotion although it would be nice if all the packages had a little bump. Problem is that I still have over half of the MC I bought last time with nothing really worth spending it on besides mechbays which are super cheap.

Not sure why you have the snarky attitude...I was just wondering why they placed such a drastic nerf on the UAC/5. With the 25% jam rate the UAC/5 is back to the virtually unusable weapon class again.

I guess I don't understand why

1) people spend up to/over hundreds of $ on relatively incomplete F2P games (when there are much more complete AAA titles around for less than $50)

2) F2P companies expect to rake in huge sums like that for their ongoing beta/incomplete games...

Anyway Thanksgiving is meaningless to me. I'd be more tempted to spend money if they gave something more like Tribes Ascend VIP pack which gives you ingame currency + a PERMANENT XP booster, so it's more like a one time purchase of a regular full price title...

p.s. yes I figured that's probably Hero mechs in this case, though would have liked something a bit more applicable across all mechs.

You guys need to lighten up, seriously, the fact that they did not say it was based in content or any specific area is not a guarantee that they are dropping exactly that. It is truly stupefying how the least number of a community can have the loudest cries.

Thanks PGI, it is nice to have a break on a purchase, though I do wish it was for the lower tier, it is still good to see a discount in there. I personally have supported and will support this game till you close your doors on it. Do not let the 2% or us that are whiners get to you, the actual community supports and loves this game, we understand that the F2P model takes time, and we are willing to wait and help make this game as good as it can be. I just wish those of us who represent the true community would speak out more and debunk these whines with actual helpful criticism, and not just "I want I want I WANTTTTTT" posts, keep up the good work guys.

You dont get it at all..

While you may be happy to spend tons of money on a 5 map 8vs8 deathmatch game, some people here remember what it was supposed to be about. Some people have seen and heard the promises over and over again, seen the performance get worse and worse with each new patch. Seen the introduction of blatantly obvious bugs that should never have gotten past even the most cursory test.

Those people ALSO care about the game. They ALSO want it to succeed. And the reason why they still post here (even if you dont like what they post) is because they still believe that the game can be turned into something more along the lines of what PGI promised in the beginning. If they wouldnt care, they wouldnt post.. pretty simple no?

Now, with that out of the way, you may start to see what it looks like to those people when PGI simply offers a discount on their ingame gold... one could argue that its pretty shady business to sell your still half broken product for any price.. but thats not for this discussion.

The point is: people dont scream "II WAAAANNT".. they scream "Y U NO FIX??"

I would LOVE for this game to be worth the prices of the MC they're trying to sell but ...

It isn't that's way overpriced for content in even the most highly polished AAA games, and this isn't anywhere near that level (yet?)
