Update to my earlier post: I'm starting to enjoy my 4SP now. 2x LRM5 better fit my playstyle. Once they're empty I go engage with 4 medium lasers. Heat is never a problem. Did some 600 dmg in a match today, just as much as the enemy Atlas. AMS counters me hard though because it's such a small volley.

Learn to rotate these as you develop what all pilots get on a long-played chassis, an inate awareness of how hawt you are and you will wreck fools.
I'm a work in progress, rheumatoid arthritis in both hands and wrists but I'm improving and on my Misery, have had some amazing moments! The brief time I played a 4-SP, it came to me quickly, how to manage that heat and do pissa wicked damage, even as a n00b like me!
Try that button set-up, do it a whole afternoon in Testing Grounds, if in the real game you can keep your hunches fastened on, its' good times with a fast engine!
Lights will come to fear you as you escort the D-DC.. Best torso twist I ever played, but again, I'm used to Stalkers!

But then, after dying in a PUG match, I watched from the cockpit of a 4G that had an LBX-10 and 3 ML. The pilot (which I could remember who it was) had very good skills...he got 2 kills in the last 1/3 of the match, used terrain very well and just generally wreaked havoc on the other team. Nice! So I dusted off an LBX-10 I had laying around from a Jagermech build and put in the my 4G. Honestly, I know LBX's aren't for everyone, but I am remembering how much fun I had with this thing in the JM6. I am calling it The Crit Seeker:
HBK-4G
Engine: Standard 200
HS: 11 Standard
Armor: 320 (stock)
Endo Structure
1xLBX-10 (3t ammo)
2xMG (1t ammo)
1xML
1xMPL
1xTAG (I get 25-100 extra experience per battle with TAG, totally worth it)
Beagle Sensor (now that it offsets ECM, this helps with bug hunting ECM equipped lights)
Between this and the Gaussback variant, I am pretty happy with the 4G. I haven't upgraded the engine like I did with the SP and the J. 64 kp/h kinda bugs me, but it also keeps me away from the early parts of the engagement so I can try to place myself properly. I am going to play around a little today to find a way to get that ML to a MPL. I don't want to give up a ton of LBX ammo, cause I enjoy spraying fire all over the place. We'll see.

Try this for end game.
You still suppress as before, same engine too, but more killing power & zombie ability, AMS, and light deterrent.
Enough ammo to just be an ***, or trade a ton for a heat sink.

To anyone with a 4G - I just tried this build (died after only 1 kill) but It's tons of fun. I had to pick my jaw up from the floor after I took apart a cataphract while under fire from 3 of his buddies. I just swapped for 3x MPL and it's frigging awesome.

I am pretty new to MW:O and i recently bought my first mech a Hunchback -4SP and i pilot it with this load out HBK-4SP
This built is not bad but i certainly miss some range abilities so i thought about either doing this:
HBK-4SP
or this:
HBK-4SP
The stats on paper seem to be better for the LRM10 variant...but i do not know how they would work in game. I just wanted to gather some advices from you guys before is spend my still limited amount of C-bills in components

Right now I'm running this. I have elite skills unlocked in it.

But for more fire power I COULD be running this. But it slows me down a little more than I'd like.

There's the Large Laser option, but aside from adding the extra range it just seems kinda "meh" to me.

I could poke so many holes, mostly has something to do with too many heatsinks, too few ammo or too slow. If you insist on building on your own instead of using my recommendations, try to build them around STD250, as engine is usually the most expensive upgrade for beginners.

Dude! Thank you! I am glad you are having fun with it.
I've tried a few more G builds for grins. I ran one with a AC/2 w/4t ammo, ERPPC, 2xMG and 2xML combo to try to bring some pain at range. It was pretty fun, to a certain extent. You can really just treat the AC/2 like an uber long distance MG, firing like crazy at anything and everything.
DAKKA-DAKKA-DAKKA-DAKKA!
The ERPPC is where the real firepower lies. When things got in super close, that build really tended to overheat quickly, which is a bummer. But, again, you sure can punish the crap out of mechs who are silly enough to expose themselves at range on maps like Alpine.
In the end, I keep coming back to the Critseeker for pure fun. It's complete crap at range. I mean...complete...crap! I tried the LBX at different ranges in the Trials/Test mode. At 750m it didn't do a dang thing, even with a completely clear line of site on the enemy mech. You pretty much had to be at 400m or less range to have any effect at all. But, still...it's just fun to hear the BOOM and see a spray of projectiles make an entire mech glow like it'd just been thrown into a forge!

But, but, but! But DAD!!
Oh, I can see that it's a terrible, awful, and hilarious idea. It takes my 30ish dmg build and reduces it to, uh, 12 if you include the small lasers. I am probably going to get my *** handed to me, as I am not that great of a player. Luckily I am not paying anything at all CBill wise since I already had the AC/2's floating around from my foray into JM6's. Also, just as luckily, I have a bit of a sense of humor about this whole thing. My only wish is that I could have a custom Warhammer 40k Ork paint scheme for any mech that I build for the pure purpose of DAKKA-DAKKA-DAKKA!
(Addendum: I just played a match with this. There was zero opportunity to hang out and snipe, but I did manage to run around and get 259 pts of damage in before I died, with 5 kill assists on a team win of 8 to 3. It was kinda fun. )
