How would you like to pick commanders?

That's a serious LARP group there. Real guns. Real Bullets. Real Death.
Think it'd have been in the news, you guys must be AWESOME at hiding bodies.
For real.
On topic:
If someone cannot understand the concepts of Bait then I guess they'll fall for it every time.
If someone cannot understand that this is simulated war with giant robots, and that some of those robots are gonna be melted no matter what they do, then they need to play single player turn based strategy and save and reload a lot.
People are going to get melted. A person on a ridge (Especially if it's something nasty like an Awesome) can be a game changer as a juicy target that can't be ignored which changes the WHOLE ENTIRE BATTLEFIELD.
Seriously, this is just funny as all heck anymore.
P.S. Of course Rej is going to hide behind a name change. They always do. I won't. I'm going to get hunted a lot, and die a lot, I admit it. No matter how good I think I am numbers and focus fire are king.

Role Warfare: every lance gets a guy with the Commander Role that puts down the Nav Points, and everyone gets XP for getting to the Nav point.
That person also gets Artillery Strikes, which may or may not include places where friendlies intended to go.

Those with commanding gear placed into a match are, by default, the commaders. However, I'll be damned if some 12 year old with mommy and daddy's credit card is going to be issuing me orders that I actually follow. My "commander" is my trigger finger and anyone from my unit I happen to be playing with at the time. The matchmaker and devs will have nothing to do with it.

1) Rejarial, LARPing doesn't count as NR/FFP. That's like saying "Yeah, I'm a 5 year veteran at CoD/BF, so I could totally kick your *** in a RL gunfight".
2) When you and half your team go charging after a badly damaged Centurion and manage to kill him, only to be blown to smitheroons by my whole team, you won't be laughing. Also, a better example of a martyr than your terrorists (who in all reality, were retaliating to America's invasion) is the football player who stopped the third plane of 9/11. He jumped on one of the terrorists, got himself killed, and then everyone jumped on the others. THAT is how a proper martyr works.
3) Yep, I have NR/FFP experience under my belt. Mostly from CS:S.
No Respawn is the same as character death, its effing permanent. Forced First Person Perspective? Same thing, I can only see from inside my own body. BUT, discounting LARP, I have played games where death is permanent, and its forced 1st Person.

I see you point. I will not follow a commander who oders me to my death, or, leads the unit into an ambush.

THE ONLY name change I will make is dropping my last name until as a member of Wolf, I earn a blood name <given the hopes that such a thing will be implemented.> Find me out there, i wont be hiding from any of you surats who want my hide.

I hear yea.
My experience with musical chairs has also given me the strong background in FFP/NR mech gameplay that allows me to speak about it with confidence and expertise. When you can't find that chair once the music stops, you are out! You only have one life... sort of speak. There are no second chances, so you just have to deal with it...and be faster next round. Since technically the character is "me" personally, I play from the perspective of my own eyes.. so its naturally FFP. There is no behind the back god view with musical chairs. ..EDIT: There are also no health bars or stamina bars on the screen to hold your hand...its hardcore action.

This'll be my last response in this topic if you can give me a good title that you've played with a decent NR/FFP system. RPGs do not count.

I agree with what has been said above, anything more than this would terribly prolong the time one needs to get to battle, which is the very oposite Piranhas should aim for.

Nobody's bashing his name. It's just that his post history on these boards suggests he might be... like... totally insane... and so everyone's expecting him to change his name when the game goes live to stop people recognising him. Apparently he's disavowed that.
Also, "you cannot fathom the truth of what I say" is almost sig-worthy. Thanks Rej.
