Raidboss's two week-long deathgrip on the metagame was truly a fount of inspiration. Art comes from suffering, huh.

Infinite MC would indeed be lovely, but if that's out of the question, as long as you take care not to let a similar balance-monstrosity upon an unsuspecting galaxy again, I guess we're good. That pic was etched on my hard drive with a blade of sheer hatred and resentment so hot it could cut a sun in half.

At least if you have raid bosses, please consider having them drop epic loot or something :P .

Please nerf catapults why can it twist like in the Exorcist arrrghtsadasdadasdaf

Maybe its just my diablo 2 background kicking in, where desync was actually involved in complex strategies and used as a game mechanic, but I haven't even noticed the desync in this game until people pointed it out. My brain just adjusted automatically the second I realized what was happening(which took less than two games).


AAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! I lead my targets, I am very good at all the old MW games, as well as other, modern shooter games.

THIS GAME IS DIFFERENT. IT IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO DO ENOUGH DAMAGE WITH UNGUIDED WEAPONS TO KILL A FAST MECH, unless they stand still.

Huh... Just got finished with a match. Scored two kills and over 1,000 xp!

In my Commando...

K/D is a nice red .15. Prouder of that than those two kills. It means that I do my job, even if that job is to be the bunny.

1st match today after patching. I changed my COM-2D loadout from x3 SRM-4 and a ML to x3 SSRM-2, one ML and a ECM.
6 kills with a COM! Jenners are no longer the light kings. The last 2 hours i've killed dozents of Jenners with my COM without one single loss. It works well, but it should be exclusive to the Raven. Too much mechs can equip it and its annoying...

Oh, when I save up the money, it's going to be GunCicadaOnline :P

I just didn't have the 7 large for the 3M when the patch came through, so I bought a Commando so I can still play something other than a walking dartboard.

Codejack, the commando is the easiest mech to strip and kill. But it is a light, you need to be able to hit it. Are you going up against a commando or 2 solo? Without streaks? I get my *** kicked too.

But the lights can kill the heavies, too. And the Mediums. It's not rock-paper-scissors, it's rock-paper-hand grenade.

I bought a Commando. It's not really my style, but playing a moving target for mechs that I have no way to shoot back at effectively is not my idea of a good time.

Same with jenners, they are so fast only really skilled players can hit them, I have real trouble fighting any lights. I took a trial Jenner out the other week and found it amazing, I was able to kill or badly damage anything I liked, especially Awesomes, it was so easymode I was lolling as I played, they literally could not touch me and even when they did I was amazed at my armour, it was great.

I do think the Devs pilot lights though as every patch seems to favour them:

Removal of knockdowns
Able to boat lazers on a Jenner
Nerfing Streaks as they were the only thing that could kill Jenners & Commando's easily.

See guys in WOW we had a great system. Class A can beat class B but class C can beat class A but class B can kill class C so you had a system where every class had a nemesis and also a prey. The Jenner has no nemesis, it rules and the Commando is probably on par with it now.

It depends on the speed of the mechs plus the skill of each pilot. Oh so your Heavy goes 45 kph? you're probably going to die to a Jenner.

I agree they need to be careful who gets ECM.

Still, Blake knows the poor little metal babby needs all the help it can get, it was a joke of a mech and a clear handicap for far too long. So will the Flea when it comes out, as a matter of speaking.

No, my heavies go 60-80kph; the streakcat can kill Jenners, as long as they come at me 1 at a time. The guncat, Artemis boat, and gunphract might as well just power down and hope that the Jenner dies of boredom.

All we need now? Ramming back in properly.

Then you can stop the Commando and crush it. But giving ECM to the fast 'Mechs OTHER than the Jenner? Good deal. Now the 35-tonner can be good at killing and the others can contribute in a way that doesn't make people go "Oh, inferior Jenner.

And LRM bombardment is good still, but there's hard counters in the form of electronic camo- er, ECM shielding.

It's gonna be a whole new ballgame if ECM stays like this. Brawling ranges are much easier to achieve.

You mean "impossible to avoid and invariably fatal to anyone whose lag precludes the effective use of unguided weapons."

What everyone is missing here is that all of us old streakcatters are now running ECM Commandos with 3xSSRM2s. It's a "Halfcat?"

P.S. You know what is especially stupid about that comment? If I could hit with ballistics and lasers (which I can, in pretty much every other game out there), I could do SO MUCH MORE DAMAGE that it's not even funny. Have you seen what a 4xAC/2 Cataphract does to a cockpit? You only need 10 hits, and it spits out 8 a second. 2xGauss, 2xAC/20, etc are all far, far more powerful loadouts, but I can only use those against big, slow mechs because my computer and the server can't seem to agree on where a fast, light mech actually is when I shoot at it.

The problem is the netcode that you're talking about, not ECM. So stop whining about not being able to use your streak cats anymore.
