LOLZ... I really wish there was a "Coliseum" or "Flavian Amphitheatre" type of Arena to see who has what..
.
Coincidentally, I have been "called out" three times during matches from people that either didn't like me because of a forums post, or what happened in a previous round, and "ALL" three times I left their Mech in a pile of smoking newb..
One of those guys is now my friend in MWO, and he is a really decent person as well..

This is where tonnage limits are better than straight weight class matching. If you have 150 tons for two players, do you bring an Atlas and a Hunchback, or do you bring an Awesome and a Cataphract? Reasonable minds can disagree, and let the players do what they want. However it still provides some balance, otherwise you will see far too many teams made up of 4 D-DCs, 2 ravens, and 2 Gausscats.

The reason you aren't?
We like it. Sure, we die more, but not many of us (at least in BWC) give a crap for KDR. Our win column is what is important. And the quality of the matches which has skyrocketed. Sure, I've gotten pwnd a bit, but the matches are closer (8-0 roflstomps not found), survivors are fewer (8v8's finishing as 3v2s, etc), but the overall experience is far better, which is what many pre-mades are looking for, and what many non-premade types don't seem to understand.

The problem with this is that the medium trooper still doesn't have a proper "role." For example, I'd rather run an Atlas and a Raven than say a Hunchback and Awesome, despite both combinations being around the same overall tonnage.

He's saying, now that they got what they wanted with 8 V 8 drops they are complaining that it's too hard, and that they want their "PUG STOMPING" privilages back...

Why would anyone complain about that? But I'm sure some will... send em to the corner to play with the my little pony dolls. That should be up to their speed... because that's just a taste of what Mechwarrior is really about, and its just begun... larger maps, 3 lances, and different ways to win the battles. C3 command and control, maneuver warfare, information warfare... get ready to earn your C-Bills!

The thing is, alot of MW fans... are older gamers, we grew tired of easy games before the rise of the console and the free Ego boost... this game has just started to shine through again and remind me why I fleshed out money to make sure they could make it great.

Sure we lost a few games. But at least when you lose it's because the other team had better strategy, tactics, piloting, or gunnery than your team did. In other words we got outplayed. Those losses don't bother me, and we won plenty of matches too.
What really ticks me off is losing because team imbecile #1 overheat suicided, imbecile #2 rambo'd off to fight 4 atlases alone, moron #3 is afk farming, and full reetard #4 is teamkilling.
8v8 premades won't put up with any of that BS. Pull any of that and any decent leader will boot you out after the first match. That's why I prefer full premade teams.

This wasn't meant as a bash at all premades by any means, I just see a split forming between casual premades and those that play to win.

I personally don't hold grudges against forumites, however this is further going to prove my point, which also seems to be your point. If running against the pug players is so much easier than running in teams a player that considers himself as good as you are should feel as ashamed playing the lesser challenge as the people this thread is trying to shame.
If you aren't running in an 8 man, why not?
If you aren't going to run in an 8 man for any reason what gives you any place to say anything?
Rocks and glass houses is all i'm saying.
edit to avoid double post:

He thinks premades are just in it for easy wins and cbills and will come running back to 4 mans and pugging. Coincidentally while clearly expressing a desire for 8 man's to fail in his tone he also confirms that he is of the opinion that pug's prove easier opponents.
So you don't agree that a 8 man pug is an easier opponent?

I do feel bad for all the teams we rolled last night... a bunch of 8-0's and 8-1's. Tho a few got us... Taryys's team for one managed to kill us all and a couple other teams did over the course of the day. But for the most part it was roflstomping as usual.

fully agree, just pointing out the hypocrisy of someone who likely doesn't (doesn't want to) run in a group accusing other people of dropping against the same people they do. Also it's why you will not see me outside of 8v8 unless I absolutely cannot get an 8 man together.
