they already are with ecm

They're following an accelerated calendar with ECM? How so?

Maybe they'll have Coolant Flush take up a module slot.

This is exactly what they're doing.

From their description and implementation, I'm not really sure that the things will be useful. Say, you go with the cbill version. That's 20% reduction in heat you get to use twice, BUT, it not only costs cbills, but it takes up a module slot. Many mechs only have two slots, three when mastered, and I don't know about you, but I like my sensor range + target decay too much to give up either of those. I might take a coolant flush as a third module if it were free, but it's debatable: faster target info and 360 degree target retention are fairly useful as well.

I hope people on the other team use coolant flush all the time for just this reason. Less useful modules for my team to face.

ONLY if you had 10 HS, read the the thread carefully, with more heatsinks the percentage goes up, we do not know how it affects double versus singles

The percentage remains the same. The amount goes up because it's a percentage of your heat capacity.

You haven't heard of the evil 3 second Jenner!?!?

It can kill ANY mech in 3 SECONDS!! The reason why we don't have 2.0 DHS! It was first foretold by PGI, but we did not heed their warnings! Once coolant flush arives, the dreaded 3 second Jenner will finally be playable! And all shall perish!

All Shall Perish is a sick band dude good tastes! Awesome music to play MW: O too!

Every time I listen to this song I picture a Clanner blasting everything in sight lol

The Cbill version also gets to be used twice, whereas the MC version is 1 use only.
Ok, apparently the posts been updated that two usages referred to 1 per module.
Yeah that's a bit BS.

This isnt really a advantage on anything but mechs that run hot and dont care for any other modules. You flush for 15% and a 2nd time for 20%. You "sacrifice" 2 module slots for it.

The MC version lets you flush for 35% and you have +1 free module slots for whatever you desire. It gives you more choice when selecting modules.

We need to be heard.

This will kill the game and toss it aside into the piles of the common, cashgrab F2P games.

Mechwarrior and Battletech are better than this. They deserve better.

They decided they couldn't be successful as a F2P
and went P2W.
They don't have the ambition. They don't have the ability. And have settled back into making a C rated game like they used to.

the best thing to do now is to chalk it up as, that a MW game can still hold interest. and hope that in the future a better company will have influence over the IP.

And as you missed the point entirely: nothing is final. They may very well reverse course. But if you want to go ahead and quit playing now, be my guest. You'd be helping by showing them that they should change course. In the mean time I'm going to keep playing and see what happens.

Only a few (or maybe just the AS7-D-DC) are allowed to use a Command Console I thought.

Couple of others can too. And when we get the Orion and Highlander we will have a few more. I believe the Dragon should be able to equip it as well. Mechs who are traditionally command mechs in the end

Also I think you should have to unlock the ability to use them first then equip a command console and finally purchasing the Module

As per the topic description.
I know i wont be buying anything else for a while.

I haven't spent anything on this game since the founders purchase. I still have MC remaining and see no reason to buy more MC at this time.

Well, seems like Paul updated the consumables thread.

So if I understand things correctly, this is how it works:
* buying just the small CB one gives one 15% flush.
* buying just the medium CB one gives one 20% flush
* buying both the small and the medium gives TWO 35% flushes
* buying the MC one gives ONE 35% flush

No. You misread it. First you use the 15% one. Then you use the 20% one.

Not ti mention they arw IDENTICAL AT TOP TIER... You guys seem to have missed that.

Pete, I don't think you've read it all the way through:

Quote

The C-Bill version of coolant flushes will allow 2 uses during a match. (One cools 15%, the other cools 20%).
The C-Bill version of coolant flushes will required 2 module slots to cool 35%, whereas the MC version will only require 1 module slot.

Also keep in mind modules are suppose to be the end game. So with the MC version taking up less slots, that will make the P2W people much more versatile once more modules start to show up.

Right now it's not a huge deal cause most modules suck. But what if there are 5 or 6 really good modules?

The P2W person can do 2 consumables and 2 good modules, where as the F2P person can only do 2 consumables at most. Or 1 consumable and 2 good modules.

It's an imbalance.

I was going to buy some MC this month, but after this, with the OP being correct in what has has said from the information provided I am holding off, as I would suggest to others as well.

If people dont like the feature added dont pay for it, when they get **** all MC spent on these items they can continue working on something else no one wants... like 3rd person...
