Again, if ECM does all that for 1.5t, then the BAP should do just as much for 1.5t. Also, again, "working as intended" doesn't mean OP or that it(and other devices) won't get changes(which are very needed). Can you read the English in that? Because people tire of repeating themselves when you can't grasp it. But if you want to talk about favors, do all of us a favor and vacant the forums already. You're clearly not interested in any kind of logical game design/balance or in improving the game from its flaws, so why keep going on and on? You're not doing anyone or anything any good with this rubbish and are just wasting everyone's time.(including your own)

pulling someone up about their reading skills and then spelling vacate as vacant... not quite epic fail, but fail none the less

QQqqqQQ, The real issue is that Lights should be banned until fixored. Why can a light carry almost as much firepower as medium mechs, why can a light take 500% more hits with out damage than an uber heavy, I should be able to kick a light out from under my feet or knock it down with an LBX. Bullox they sure are annoying but have not driven me to rage quit just yet but it does make the game boring.

The Light mech issues are the single most devastating thing about MWO and the main reason so so many people have turned away. I will no longer buy MC and Support such weak netcode until these issues are fixed.

No? As usual, you couldn't be farther from the truth. But your ignorance apparently knows no limits. I think it's time for you to join Rain on my crapblocklist. Farewell! Never going to see any of your trash ever again. ;)

people who can't play will always blame the thing that they think got them killed
at some point since closed beta, pretty much everything in the game has been accused of being OP and yet only minor changes or none have happened to those items, eventually the QQ dies down and people that want to play just get on with playing instead of whining about everything

This is what happens when you have a high vs low end of a scale instead of balance. Missiles are either still OP, or unable to fire at all. That's not balanced, nor does it make any sense. Kaijin also said it well in that thread: "LRMs will always be the bane of the clueless newbie. That doesn't make ECM any less OP."

I don't know if it's been said already, but ECM will lose a lot of it's power when collisions return and the netcode is fixed. ECM itself isn't a problem, after all, you can kill an ECM mech in a reasonable amount of time if you can hit it. The problem is that the lights that can carry it are very difficult to hit right now. No one really seems to have any more of a problem killing a Atlas DDC than they do killing an Atlas K.

The ECM lights are strongest when they're up close. It's especially difficult to hit them there, as they're moving so fast across your screen. When collisions return, there will be fewer lights that are willing to run headlong into the enemy. If they get knocked down, they're done for.

Lights aren't the only ones that can carry ECM, and these 4 variants won't always be the only ones ever able to do so either. Collision will help vs ECM Lights(whenever they decide to put it back in), but it won't address the balance issues themselves. ECM variants will still be better than the others. Unless you're restricting knockdowns to ECM users alone(which would make no sense), then it's not really a counter weight to them.

True, but I think collisions will go a long way to helping the situation. I think that once netcode is fixed and collisions are back, ECM mechs will simply become the priority target (even more so than now), and that's just going to be the offset that they'll have to deal with.

It's no different to the Gauss Cat days where everyone tried to down the K2 before other targets.

Don't worry, I put him on my crapblocklist.(A list that's actually hard to get on. With a 3k+ post career, he makes 3.) You'll never even see me acknowledge his worthless existence anymore. ;)

Sure get rid of it. Also get rid of all the xp and cbills you have earned using it. I dont own an ecm mech and been saving up to get one just in time for a nerf to come down the pipe. Just like any mmo its exploit early and often like the apparent OP. I guess since he has mastered his mechs he can cry nerf now since he is done with them. You know I hate people like this who make a fortune on a broke game mechanic then cry about it later before others get a chance to see what its like driving something that is a little op.

Actually many of us were against this thing before it even released, and on its first day. We didn't wait 2 weeks to cakewalk it off "then" ask for balance.

or in other words, you've realised that you are incapable of forming a coherent argument or coming up with a witty retort so you're forced to put me on block because you are also incapable of just not replying when someone quotes you and points out how childish you are being

Or he finds you plain annoying and doesn't want to hear your drivel any more. Personally blocking someone you just don't agree with and can't play nice with is a mature decision.

Correct, and I should have done it sooner. Some people are just a lost cause. It's like pulling the life support plug. The chemo has failed. We're sorry. It's time to let go. Now where's Zoidberg to pronounce the operation a success?
