There's never a good enough reason to stop playing.
I'm waiting until The Reveal before I purchase any more MC, though.

The usefulness of the coolant flush is pretty pitiful. A one time reduction of Mech heat by 35, whopdeedoo. I'm not a moron, so I can manage my heat just fine.

So, they not only require continual re-purchase, but the MC version is better than the cbill one (1 less module slot required)? Um..... yeah. That is, quite frankly, pants-on-head ********, regardless of the power level.

I also note that they didn't give information on the ones that directly do damage. The coolant flush's actual stats are less powerful than I might have feared (even if the whole idea is still stupid) - could this choice of which consumable to talk about represent a damage control attempt ('See? It's not game-breakingly OP!')?

I'm not up and leaving right this second. However, this *definitely* makes me *extremely* worried.

Q: Have you guys considered adding Coolant Pods to increase heat dissipation of a mech's heatsinks when used? [vayne]
A: Yes, we considered and then dropped the idea. We found it more of a crutch and lead to more issues than it helped with. If you're in a long, multi-targetted single player game, it makes sense. In a player vs. player environment you get a MASSIVE increase in firepower for no cost, or it wouldn't be enough to make a difference (IE. the match would never last long enough for you running out of coolant to matter, because you've already killed two people. Or, it doesn't even last a single fight, then why even have it?) Does that make sense? [Garth]

Enjoy getting 1/2 your team wiped by a PPC Stalker within a few seconds, Coolant Flush the excess heat off.

MW4 had it before, was all Alpha-Boating and Poptarts.

I think that will be short term exposure. Long term exposure will be that boating PPC will hinder over-all competitive play as there will be other things to consider.

A lot of people complain about things with short shortsightedness; or rather, with a short term view of the addition of something, is all I am saying.

I'm officially stoping all my help other player threads and quit feedback on patches.

Also I'm stoping my efforts to unite House Steiner Germany.

I wanna see the costs c-bill and MC wise before making a judgement.

Having said that though, I'm crying on the inside.

:P

I hope the C-bill airstrikes are LRM5s while the MC version is an orbital warship NAC/40 bombardment.

Why not add gold equipment too? I'd really like gold true DHS and gold LRMs and Streaks that can always lock onto a target and I'd shell out some real money for a gold C3 computer that can't be jammed by ECM.

This has potential, do eeeeeeet.

Ammo should be consumable, and should be a money sink (and I say that as a heavy LRM pilot). Upgraded ammo should also be avail, at cbill not mc. MC should be reserved for perm unlocks and UI tweaks.

It's not about the function of this thing, it's about the availability. Whats next? AC/20 Uberammo that deals 100Splash-Damage in a radius of 4hex-fields?!

I wouldn't have a problem with this, as long as they tweak the MC only variant to require 2 module slots instead of just 1.

Unless i'm reading it wrong, T1+2, purchasable with Cbills is the same effect as T3 which is the MC variant. If that is the case, how is it p2w when the same ability is available to both paying and non-paying members?
