Stoicblitzer, here is a quote that sums it up decently.

Here's my only real complaint or concern with this module system:

Lets assume youre in a mech with 4 module slots. With c-bills you buy:
Coolant Flush (1 + 2) and Airstrike (1 + 2). Ok cool. You're rockin both coolant flush and airstrike or whatever it turns out to be at their MC price equivalents.

Now you fight a guy that spent MC. He's rocking Coolant Flush (3), Airstrike (3), Longtom Artillery (3) and Care-Package (or whatever, 3).

Who has the advantage?

I fully expect that the MV purchased version will be superior to the c-bill version. Which makes me sad and disappointed.

Damn it don't jinx it!

Consumables? I don't really like were this is heading. I'll wait and see before I make judgment.

Edit: A positive. This may beat ECM as my new pet peeve.

If all the consumables, are limited to module slots, then a guy can't walk in with 20 airstrikes.

It is P2W because C-BIll version takes up 2 module slots while MC version takes up 1 module slot.

Example:

F2P: Coolant (1), Coolant (2), Airstrike (1), AirStrike (2)

P2W: Coolant (3), Airstrike (3), Module 1, Module 2

If you're using 1 module slot, having 2x use of 20% is arguably better than 1x 35% unless there's a cooldown associated.

When it says you can use it twice in a match, I'm pretty sure that means once at 15 and once at 20, not two times each.

Quote

The C-Bill version of coolant flushes will allow 2 uses during a match. (One cools 15%, the other cools 20%).

Make Air Strike and Artillery available through the Command Console only.

I'd be amused if artillery and air strike are aoe's. Friendly fire is in the game, be amusing to to see someone call one in and take himself out as well as me. I'd die, but I'd die laughing.

I'd pay MC just to do the biggest airstrike on myself while surrounded by enemies (and/or friendlies) just for lulz.

BROKEN ARROW! BROKEN ARROW! FIRE FOR EFFECT ON MY GRID!

Seems Paul updated the Command Chair post, and clarified things a bit. If I understand correctly it works like this:
* If you buy just the small CB one, you get one 15% flush.
* If you buy just the medium CB one, you get one 20% flush.
* If you buy BOTH the CB ones, you get TWO 35% flushes.
* If you buy the MC one, you get ONE 35% flush.

Edit: Nah, I can't see that this is the case. It says very explicitly in the first post "The C-Bill version of coolant flushes will allow 2 uses during a match. (One cools 15%, the other cools 20%)" - which means the MC one is straight-up better at 35%.

70% is assuming it scales on a 1-for-1 basis, which I don't believe they've stated how exactly it will work beyond the 10 HS example they gave.

To this i say I hope not. I don't want a competition match decided by a well placed air strike. In that it could turn to CoD and just spam air strikes. Hopefully we will get a CC update in a few moments

Correct.

But the guy that spends MC can have twice as many TYPES of consumables as the guy that only spends C-bills, assuming the c-bill guy wants his to be just as effective as the MC guy.

Furthermore, PGI may change their course to make all versions purchasable via c-bills, but make them more attractive to purchase via MC. For example, a large coolant flush might cost 100 MC or say 1 million cbills. In this case you are NEVER going to make a profit by spamming them unless you buy them with MC. I don't like the fact that they will be essentially giving a payable crutch to low skill players. But they got to make money so the game can continue.
