Somewhere Roland made a thread about why we shouldn't worry about the coolant flush. Before I could read and respond to it, it got merged into this Frankenstein of a thread.

In any case: coolant flushing is stupid in the first place. Second, who cares. It's a one shot deal that probably will have very little impact on a drop. They'll only be used in competitive matches because there's no real outcome to pug matches until CW, which is months and months away. Even then, who cares? A Mech gets a one time heat scale reduction. Whatever. Good pilots can manage their heat without the coolant flushing.

lol, if so, I could give a flying frak about any of it then. i was hoping by "consumable" they meant you bought the coolant flush module, once, and then it was "consumable" like ammunition in game. If I have to buy it all the time, pfft, forget it. I got mechs to buy. And guns and lasers and cool ****, cooler **** then antifreeze.

So people were basically telling you how much of their money your never going to see if you follow through on this.

My Advice?
Just make the modules the same, let people by tier 3 with CBills, and let people buy tier 1 and 2 with MC...
and punch whoever thought this crap was a good idea in the nuts a few times to make sure they never do it again... Its almost as stupid as the whole ECM fiasco....
If the same guy who devised the ECM implementation also came up with this, kick his can to the curb and find a replacement.
