Also don't make them modules. Make them equipment with weight and taking up slots.

Right now we have free players using the coolant modules that take up twice the amount of slots as the paid one.
Obviously this is going to continue and it is pay to win. It doesn't matter how much of an advantage it gives (even though 35% minimum is pretty significant), any paid advantage is pay to win.

Not what you think Niko [REDACTED] up the Forums and ruined the General Discussion for Trolls and actual useful convos alike and hid all the polls so no one had to look at what we were telling them what we thought about the march update

Instant removal of 35% of your total heat - you tell me if that extra 90pts alpha strike is enough to win a losing fight or not...
Not everyone has a 90pt alpha
Better heat management can get you that last alpha anyway.
You can only use it once or twice (for the two you could dump both at once)
You have to buy refills every damn time. (I sure as hell won't be doing this)

Is it now time to say swearwords like [REDACTED] to go by unnoticed because none who actually should [REDACTED] will ever read this thread?

My buddy filled me into whats going on that there is a c-bill 10% and 25% coolant flush and a MC 35%. I agree this is total ********, as stated I was out of context. There are a ton of ways to make money that isn't pay to win. It just takes some thinking instead of looking at competing games and just copying them. Such as a 5% increase to c-bill and xp if your 8man drop all has the same paint. That is just one very simple way of encouraging people to spend MC without changing gameplay. I hate to say that ive drank the community koolaid but **** you IGP and PGI if you go down this road. I have already given these companys $220 they will never get another dime if they start P2W ****.

People will pay for it because it is an advantage. Paying for an advantage is pay-to-win.

True but I figure health ready ups and ammo resupply powers are next.
Technically there were no ammo resupplies, because all non-upgraded weapons had infinite ammo (even ballistics and missiles). The "ammo" only was a factor for level-2 and 3 upgraded weapons (even energy weapons, lol pulse laser with ammo requirements).
EDIT: Wait, I just kinda contradicted myself.

agreed, I know there was a very old post I think b4 closed beta about how this will never be a p2w game. If this goes in as it was explained to me, you can buy something with cash dollars that is even a small amount better than anything you can buy with cbills, i will ask for a refund on my founders program as that was not what i was sold on.

September was a big one, when Repair and Rearm were destroying any attempt to get c-bills. Playing anything but a laserboat or a missileboat in certain parts of beta, that sort of thing.
But I think this is the first time I've actually felt heartbroken about the game.
This isn't an oversight, here. This isn't tuning, this isn't a bug to be fixed or a weapon to be balanced.
This is a design decision that makes the paid version of an item inherently better than the c-bill variant. And of all things, it's Coolant Flush.
Who on earth wanted Coolant Flush?

- Someone in PGI said no to paying for consumables, and was ignored. This person needs more power over decisions in PGI.
- Someone in PGI spearheaded the move for paying for consumables, and steamrolled over objections. This person needs less power within PGI.
This is not to be punitive, but to improve the strength of PGI and protect its product integrity and thus indirectly its relationship with its customers. This is because the balance of power within PGI will shift towards decisionmakers who are more in tune with what we, your customers want, and away from decisionmakers who make us unhappy with your product.
Thank you for your consideration. I know changing power structures is difficult, but wouldn't that be easier than letting everyone go if the game tanks?

Know what I'm most upset about? I read your thread, had something to say, and then it was deleted.
The worst part is I think of you as a respected voice in the community from the Closed Beta days. I felt like that a slap against you was a slap against a lot of us.
